A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows a close contest in presidential election preferences, with Republicans lining up behind Donald Trump as their partys presumptive nominee while the continued Democratic race is keeping Hillary Clintons side more unsettled.
From the poll Trump leads:
Men: Trump 56-34%
Independents: Trump 48-35%
No degree: Trump 52-38%
Whites: Trump 57-33%

The Democrats don’t have a presidential bench worth writing home about.
All they have is two senior citizens, one crippled with ethical and legal problems up the wazoo and the other is an outright revolutionary.
Not the picture of a party in sound health.
But they have to play with what’s on the table and hope they can get that Obama third term in the fall.
Romney was never ahead of Obama in the polls.
Romney had to pay for rock concerts before his events so that anybody would show up.
Hillary is not Obama. She is more like Kerry and Gore.
Minority turnout for her will be more in line with Kerry than Obama.
I’m not expecting him to go 3rd party but if he does I’m sending a donation to his campaign.
I truly don’t think the hildabeast can physically handle the firestorm that Trump will give her. She is fine as long as she is protected by the media with prearranged “interviews” but Trump will call her out on the carpet over and over and she will not be able to stay hidden.
Romney was uninspiring, a candidate nominated only because he was the most tolerable candidate of every one who ran.
He gathered no real excitement. No one cared if he won or lost.
Obama had charisma and tremendous popularity with liberal, millenial and black voters.
That - and being an incumbent was insurmountable to overcome.
Hillary can be beaten and Trump can do it.
OHMYGOSH....Trump has hit his Ceiling!!!
OHMYGOSH...Trump will wither and die on the vine!!!
ROFL...I love this, watching others trying to dodge the thing that is going to happen, just to have to watch them eat some more crow....
Talking heads, MSM, on line media twits...OHMYGOSH...ROFL!!!
The 2 conventions will be epic! Donald will organize and host an American Celebratiin Gala that will be unprecedented in political history. He will be there all 4 days as nominee/host.
Hillary will show up on the 4th day of a Dumb-o-crat convention occupied by a bunch of “the sky is falling!”, “white people are evil!”, Cirque de Soleil rejects. They will have had 3 days to whine and fight.
On the 4th day she will show up amid sky rocketing Trump popularity and try to speak to an assembly of drugged up misfits.
Game, set, match!
The news story within the next two weeks will be Is Trump peaking too early?
You read it here first.

Oh, no doubt! Sadly, Rush Limbaugh will be joining the MSM chorus on this bogus narrative. I hope I’m wrong, but Rush is still suffering from major butt hurt over Trump kicking Cruz’s rear end.
Pat Buchanan for VP!!!
The enthusiasm factor for the GOP is way up this election cycle. This will be an important reason Trump will win.
“ROFL...I love this, watching others trying to dodge the thing that is going to happen, just to have to watch them eat some more crow....”
After this political season, crows will be on the endangered species list.
“I heard all the same talk about Romney”
Trump is no Romney.
You nailed it my FReind.
True, with the exception that voter fraud is more rampant today than in the 1980s.
With no credible candidate NeverTrump is fading. Gary "completely open borders" Johnson isn't gonna cut it. By November all you'll hear on the right is NeverHillary.
I agree.
Demographics make it virtually impossible for a Republican to win a landslide.
Trump can win definitely win it, but if he does, it will be very, very close. The NeverTrumpers may very well decide this one.
