"I believe in forced labor" Go for it; I think it'd be interesting to have lawyers fighting for the Constitution (13th amd in this case) and against the judicial tyranny for once.

She should lead by example, say a year or two without that govt check.

Maybe we need fewer laws and more personal responsibility, and longer sentences. Fewer Wide Latinas too.

Pro-Bono is the cult of the social justice warriors. The infrastructure is all in place for 90% of lawyers to fall into left-wing, government-sponsored causes.

We already have forced volunteerism to graduate high school. The numbskulls that have graduated under that requirement will probably see nothing wrong with this at all.

Obamacare set the precedent that the feral government owns your body. How else could they force you to pay maintenance fees on it?
What is that thing called where one person owns another person’s body?

If it is legal to do it to doctors and hospitals, why is it not legal to do it to lawyers and law firms?

Sotomayor and Kagan were affirmative action liberal Democrat appointees that were grave mistakes. Any more like them on the SCOTUS will make the US turnaround almost impossible and the slide will be more like a precipitous drop into socialism and/or communism.

I’m an attorney and I already do involuntary pro bono work. It’s the work I do for clients who later don’t pay my bill.

Few things in life are free.
Mandate Pro Bono work and the lawyers will just raise the rate they charge paying clients.
I thought that we had public defenders on the government payroll. So how is it a poor person does not have legal representation?
