Nork City's new rules on transgender rights could bring about hefty fines for businesses and landlords who don't use the right pronouns for their workers and tenants.
According to guidelines recently released by the New York Commission on Human Rights, failure to recognize a person's preferred gender can result in fines of $125,000 for unintentional acts or $250,000 if the offense is intentional.
Among the offenses that could bring a fine:
Repeatedly using a pronoun or name not preferred by the transgendered person even if official identification shows a different name and gender.
Requiring a transgendered employee to wear a gender specific uniform of the gender not identified with or to require female employees to wear makeup or prevent male employees from doing so.
Requiring all men to wear ties before being allowed to dine in a restaurant.

I would never return to the rotten apple for even a day. NYC epitomizes all that can go wrong if decent people let it happen.
Orwell is thumping on the casket lid over this one. His book finally changed from fiction to fact.
Businesses are supposed to be able to tell what sex a person is when the person doesn’t know themselves?
New York Values ...
I was in New York City once, in 1965, for about an hour. I decided even then there was no way I’d ever live there. Today, even more so.
Okay time for major pushback. The joke has gone way too far.
LOL Post of the day....
When we’re told that gender is fluid and can change, how can businesses ever avoid making the mistake of using the wrong pronoun? How can anyone, for that matter? This is an automatic gotcha. Oh and dress requirements are no longer enforceable for fine dining?
What a whipped up bunch of perverted stupidity.
If you look at the voting record, the vast majority of people in NYC are NOT decent. They're liberal government worshiping statists who despise freedom and the rest of the country. The piece of excrement mayor, Deblasio, wasn't elected by mistake. He represents the views of the majority of New Yorkers
Great opportunity for shakedown artists.
NYC—Doing everything it can to attract and retain business.

Caca del toro. There isn’t even agreement on what the pronouns or forms of address should be.
Revert to extreme rudeness immediately. That is the real New York way.
There are XX chromosomes and XY chromosomes. Anything that interferes with the manifestations of the effects of these determining factors ends up as “neuter”.
The Germans handled the indeterminate gender well for years, “der” for male, “die” for female, and “das” for neuter. But perhaps political correctness has affected the German language to about the same degree it has affected English.
SNL's "Pat" was the victim of systematic microaggressions that could have paid off $250k per appearance.
Wonder who/what will be wearing cowboy shirts when this is over?
You know, I believe you’re correct!
DUDE!
Just another parting gift from the most unusual president, or leader, in the history of the world.
What’s next? Businesses fined for even considering leaving NYC? I can see where this is going. Shakedown artists and Stasi snitches working for the city. False accusations (the evidence does not matter, it’s the seriousness of the charge that requires action).
Lib proglodytes are making America look more and more cartoonish every day. :(
“Great opportunity for shakedown artists.”
My thoughts exactly.
Notice that -—failure to recognize a person’s preferred gender can result in fines of $125,000 for unintentional acts-— from the article.
For failure to UNINTENTIONALLY recognize a person’s preferred gender.
Every time you think it can’t possibly get more insane...
