Navy Secretary Ray Mabus says in a letter that he has the power to name warships as he chooses, in response to a former Marine and congressman who charges he has politicized the process.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, California Republican and House Armed Services Committee member, wrote Mr. Mabus to question the naming of an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer after former Sen. Carl Levin, Michigan Democrat and chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

None of these Dem pissant Obama appointed Service head deserve the roles they hold . The Services themselves should pick their own leadership , based on COMBAT COMMAND performance , and selection within a committee organized within the particular Service itself . Clueless civilian leadership should not have the power to select . Unconstitutional you say ?
Change the Constitution .And while we are at ; return to The War Department , not the Defence Department & a Secretary of War
