Romney said bad things about President Reagan and his supporters back in the day. Now Romney has been doing all he can to destroy the Trump candidacy.

Romney's supposed reasons for opposing Trump make no sense. The only reason that makes sense is Romney wants Hillary Clinton to win.

If Romney had fought Obama with the fervor that he is fighting Trump, he (Romney) would be President today.

Go away Mitt. You lost. We don't need your advice, ideas, money, enthusiasm, or anything. Everything you do has shown that you are a stooge for the Democrats, whether you are aware of it or not.

He thinks Trump has no values or principles and is an opportunist? Hypocrite

Romney “feels like America hangs in the balance. He’s very distraught about [Trump],” said one Romney adviser. “He thinks Trump is this vulgar, dangerous, principle-less, value-less opportunist — putting it mildly.”

They still don't get it. They just don't get it. They refuse to believe why Trump happened is because of them - only them. Through their decades of lies, decades of subterfuge, decades of plundering, decades of eroding our freedom and the decades and centuries through which they want to continue that treachery. Opportunist? Yes, maybe. However, we see it as the last 'opportunity' to put these quisling, dissembling liars back in Pandora's Box and shut the effing lid tight, tight, tight. End them.

STFU and quit helping Hillary.

If Mittens had only fought as hard against Obama as is he doing against Trump, he would be running for re-election today.

Its pure spite that brought him out of the cold.

Mitt has found a very comfortable niche in the JV team of the Uniparty.

Donald Trump poses an existential threat to the Uniparty.

Therefore, Mitt thinks Trump must be destroyed.

Romney creates the model for Obamacare, and wonders why we don’t like him. Just go away, please.

Right you are, Gaffer. Romney has no one to blame but himself and the other moderate centrist (aka Democrat in all but party affiliation) quislings running the Republican Party.

I really don’t think so. If they did understand it they’d realize they are completely out come November. If they understood, they’d be up Trump’s arse trying to resurrect their second tier status to be subservient to him and his new administration. Keep some of the power - even if it is lesser.

They lack the capacity to grow beyond what they’ve become and they are believing their own lies because we all believed them for so long.

"I wish Romney had fought this hard AGAINST obama when he had the chance."

I agree. Benghazi had just happened that September at the start of the campaign season. He should have been hammering this one home. He should have been hammering home the question of why did we help topple Quadaffi in the first place. I've long puzzled over Trump's popularity but I think the one thing that binds his supporters together is this, the fact that he is willing to stand up and fight the Democrats unlike any of our past presidents/candidates (McLame, Romney, Bush). If Bush would have vigorously defended the Iraq war as well as Obama has defended Benghazi, pulling out of Iraq, Libya etc.. where would we be?

Romney's supposed reasons for opposing Trump make no sense

Would any of these hypotheses make more sense?

1. In comparison to Trump, Romney is a total failure in the private sector. Romney's "success" was tearing apart companies, ruining people's lives, and profiting from it. And now Trump has left Romney, in comparison, as a total failure in the political arena. That leaves Romney in the history books as a broken man, instead of his intent of achieving what his father could not.

2. Research "Romney and Bain Capital". There's some mention about some upcoming lawsuits against Romney. If he has no clout with pols and legal judgements, it could be financial disaster, perhaps even RICO violations.

3. Romney sees himself as superior and ordained. He really didn't think the "lower 47%" were worthy of his campaigning. Now you've got Trump bringing it to the voters. Romney finds that uncouth and demeaning.

4. Romney's no conservative. His goal is globalist elites acquiring as much power and wealth as possible, while marginalizing and incapacitating the rights and opportunities of anyone he deems unworthy. He's a total tool of the "invisible hand".

5. All of the above.

“He thinks Trump is this vulgar, dangerous, principle-less, value-less opportunist — putting it mildly.”

Kind of what I think of Romney.

Does anyone get the impression that despite Trump being extremely rich, their opposition to him has roots in elitism and snobbishness? They seem to look down on him precisely because he appeals to middle class and blue collar people. This election is Caddyshack. Trump plays Rodney Dangerfield's character, and Romney plays Ted Knight's character.

George Romney hated to used the name of the party , Republican he told his campaign for Governor of Michigan to remove Republican from his Campaign Materials.

George along with Nelson Rockefeller and William Scanton sabotage the candidacy of Barry Goldwater.

They didn't care if it was a total destruction of the Republican Party down the ticket

Mitt, never a conservative or a compassionate person at Bain Capital bought companies and laid of American workers

As Governor of Massachusetts he did two unforgivable things, Romeycare and claim he did vote for Reagan-Bush because at that time he was an independent and now as a Republican he would work hard to stop Reagan/Bush as a Republican to stop Reagan/Bush.

It seems the boy loved his nutter of a father and tried to emulate his actions to hurt the Republican Party.
