You most fear “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street”
This episode reminds us that the fear of thing is often worse than the thing itself. Neighbors turn on each other as a cloud of paranoia hangs over a small town. Why would aliens waste energy invading our planet when they could just let us tear each other apart?

For those road warriors who traveled the west late at night .
I’ll play!
I don’t know the names - but one of my favorites is the little girl who was raised to be telepathic and then was “cured” of it. Her name was “Ilsa.”
Another is the one with the woman who had had cosmetic surgery to try to make her more beautiful. The docs and nurses were all masked and were unwrapping her bandages and when they were done, the doc says “NO CHANGE!” She was as ugly as ever.... but the masks came off the medical team and they (to our eyes) were monsters while the “ugly” patient was someone we would consider gorgeous.
I also like the one with the nanny who was a robot who looked and acted like a very warm and wise cuddly older lady.
There are others...
The Quiz had my answer as “The Monsters are due on Maple Street” but I disagree.
My answer would have been either “Time Enough at Last” or “The Obsolete Man”. With the world like it is, I can see both scenarios coming to pass.
Took the quiz. Supposedly”THE MONSTERS ARE DUE ON MAPLE STREET” is the one that creeps me out.
Hi Luv. Sez here this week that I fear “The Invaders” or I suppose iin a political sense that means illegal aliens. Oh, the horrors. :-)
Hi Luv! Late to the party, but that’s because I have “Time Enough at Last.”
It’s interesting the quiz picked this particular episode for me. As an introverted mypoic bookish kid mself, I found this the saddest Twilight Zone episode. I had a lot of empathy for Burgess Meredith.
"Honey what I'll really be doing tonight is... playing... poker... with... the... boys." [slams receiver down] "What's the matter with me?"
Midnight Sun... because Lois Nettleton.
A little alien arrives at a farm house in an adorable little flying saucer. But the wee silver man is not as cute as he seems. Nor is he an alien? This is one for those who hop on a chair at the sight of a mouse.
Although everyone knows the scariest is the Bewitchin' Pool because it is the last Twilight Zone episode.
“To Serve Man” — it turns out it’s an alien COOKBOOK.
Hai - I didn’t get a result.
My favorite one is with Charles Bronson and Elisabeth Montgomery as the two last humans alive after a huge war that wiped everyone out. They were soldiers from opposing armies.
Rod Serling was an entertainment genius!
I got Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, but the one I have always remembered is Midnight Sun. That one scared me!
My favorite episode? Easy:
“A Stop at Willoughby”

What is that on the wing? Is there something out on the wing? Warn the pilot! In this classic, which was remade in the 1983 movie, William Shatner goes mad on an airplane as some kind of space gorilla tampers with the aircraft.
