I’m not sure when you’re talking about but I was listening to Guy Clark in like 1965 he was a member of the original Byrds. He got popular when he was really young.

One of the best ever.....
Now, he's old and gray with a flour sack cape tied all around his head.... And he's still jumpin' off the garage and will be till he's dead....All these years the people said, he was actin' like a kid....He did not know he could not fly and so he did. Well, he's one of those who knows that life is just a leap of faith..Spread your arms and hold your breath and always trust your cape.

Clark was one of the legends of songwriting. I followed him for quite a while. I especially liked Heartbroke and Randall Knife. RIP Mr. Clark.
