He should absolutely run again.

He was overtaken by a celebrity, who understood how to control the media and get the attention he needed from them and constituents.

I disagree. He was overtaken by a business man who was not afraid to go on all the talk shows and do interviews in the face of the enemy. Cruz could have done that be he chose to go a different route. Only in the last couple of weeks did Cruz start to appear on the Sunday talk shows. It was to little to late.

Nope. Cruz was overtaken, to quote Rand, by his lack of authenticity. The more people saw that Ted Cruz the man did not match the Senator Principled Conservative (TM) myth the farther he sank in the polls. Cruz has greatly damaged his brand and the longer this tantrum continues the worse it will be for his future.

He would just lose again. He has burned all bridges with his lunacy.

I agree. I like Ted Cruz, and I hope he runs again.

I don’t think this video was any of the things described here. Seemed to me to be more of a thank you type message to anyone who helped the campaign. There’s like 2 seconds where Ted appeared to get a little choked up. If you didn’t watch the video some of the comments lead you to believe that it was Ted crying through the whole thing.
People are pissed off, for good reason, and the person they got behind was the one that was able to stir up that anger. Cruz did and said plenty I didn’t like; he was wrong about “low information” voters, they’re more like “high emotion” voters. Trump knows how to capitalize on that and Cruz doesn’t.

Please spare me the rational. He was the second best funded candidate in the race; he had the highest paid and most qualified campaign operatives; he had the best ground game in politics and his campaign was still willing to pull dirty tricks on top of it all.

The man lost because Evangelicals and others saw through his act and punished him in the SEC primary and almost every other state that did not caucus. And the voters saw a new leader in Trump.

Oh yes, Teddy should run...run back to Canada, or Cuba, or to the funny farm with Glenn.

“He should absolutely run again.”

Why? The guy isn’t constitutionally eligible, and he’s proven to be a narcissist with eerie parallels to Obama.

No thanks.

No, Ted was overtaken by a novice, a non-politician, who spent way less money than Ted, beat SIXTEEN other challengers, tapped into what the voters were thinking (not telling the voters WHAT to think), took on the press, and political correctness.

Ted, Trump’s “celebrity” had nothing to do with it. His connection with the voters was the difference. It was REAL, something you would no nothing about. People want REAL, they reject PHONY, that’s why you lost so badly! You are a FAKE and most people saw right through you., especially the more they got to know you.

The only “movement” that you are a part of is the one you leave in your toilet every morning.

Do you wipe and flush yourself, or do you have “people” for that?

That is how dems attempt the steal.

D. Trump would not have been so unimaginably (by many)successful if he had no substantive points to publicly state as his positions.

Positions that apparently a great many people also had, and agreed with, which were not even given a sentence by others, through two presidential elections.
