The pastor who claimed he bought a Whole Foods cake that had a homophobic slur written on it has decided to drop his lawsuit against the company.
Pastor Jordan Brown, who is gay, is a pastor of The Church of Open Doors, an LGBT welcoming congregation in Austin.

Lol. They did sue.
See my post #16.
TL;DR: the accuser issued a statement recanting his accusation and admitting fraud -- it was probably a condition set to avoid being counter-sued.
S/B “Church of the Open Drawers!”
FTC
C: It’s not much of a congregation, is it?
O: Finest in the district sir!
C: (annoyed) Explain the logic underlying that conclusion, please.
O: Well the room, it’s so clean, sir!
C: It’s certainly uncontaminated by a congregation.
Sue this idiot into poverty and jail.
Today I am dismissing my lawsuit against Whole Foods Market. The company did nothing wrong. I was wrong to pursue this matter and use the media to perpetuate this story. I want to apologize to Whole Foods and its team members for questioning the companys commitment to its values, and especially the bakery associate who I understand was put in a terrible position because of my actions. I apologize to the LGBT community for diverting attention from real issues. I also want to apologize to my partner, my family, my church family, and my attorney.
Because “pastor” is a big fat liar.
Another fake hate crime...what are the odds?
“Shakedown” comes to mind.
He tried. They balked.
Whole Foods has I’m sure a whole team of lawyers and that is why this pastor dropped the suit. He learned quickly that WF has financial resources that mom and pop bake shops do not.
I’m a big LGBT supporter:
Liquor, Gun, Bacon & Tts.
He just be jumping on that Rev. Sharpton Train! Fail
“He tried. They balked.”
They had video.
Between that and his video alleging misconduct...
1. The box was such that the slur would have been instantly obvious. One glance at the box and he’d have screamed “WTF!” - not accepted it, paid, left, and discovered it at home.
2. He took pains to point out the label on the box as proof he didn’t open the box. The surveillance video plainly shows the label in a different location.
3. Word is the baker who actually decorated the cake was also gay.
4. The frosting used for the slur was different from that used for the rest of the text & decorations.
Slam dunk case, with him being completely wiped out, and WF wouldn’t even get pocket change.
The church has one door -— the back door.
They should sue him back. Anyone who pulls this kind of crap for publicity and/or a cause should be sued to poverty.
Mental illness in action.
Betya the pervert can't afford the looming countersuit.
If the now-free defendant needs financial support, count me in...
