Donald J. Trump had barely met Rowanne Brewer Lane when he asked her to change out of her clothes.
..."He asked me if I had a swimsuit with me. I said no. I hadnt intended to swim. He took me into a room and opened drawers and asked me to put on a swimsuit."
....Donald Trump and women: The words evoke a familiar cascade of casual insults, hurled from the safe distance of a Twitter account, a radio show or a campaign podium. This is the public treatment of some women by Mr. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president: degrading, impersonal, performed. That must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees, he told a female contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice. Rosie ODonnell, he said, had a fat, ugly face. A lawyer who needed to pump milk for a newborn? Disgusting, he said.
But the 1990 episode at Mar-a-Lago that Ms. Brewer Lane described was different: a debasing face-to-face encounter between Mr. Trump and a young woman he hardly knew. This is the private treatment of some women by Mr. Trump, the up-close and more intimate encounters.

Actually, the explanation is even simpler than that. The NYT simply lied about what she had to say in this interview. She said the opposite of what they imply. See her Facebook page:
I'm shocked! Well not really, most of what the NYT has to say is untrue.
Nice!
Yesterday’s thread on same article:

I look forward to having Trump as President. He’s so much fun, innocent and truthful!
Reading the blurb posted here, I’m assuming the reporter left out A LOT of details... What happened after she put on the swimsuit? did they do the naughty?
My take is that Brewer came unprepared for a job interview. Trump was kind enough to supply her with a “uniform” to see if she qualified as a waitress, bartend, life guard, hooter, whatever. After all, he’d be hiring someone who would reflect on Trump and he wants only the best. My guess is, she didn’t get the job and is a sore loser now ‘cos she didn’t snag him or the job.
Trumps is a businessman not a politician. He cannot be compared to Clinton. Bill did it to get his rocks off. Which brings up the point did Brewer mention how badly Trump treated her?
HA! Thank you for reading the article for us. I didn’t but my response was a pretty close guess as to how innocent and caring Trump’s comment was. He’s a great host.
That’s so disturbing that the Times would twist her take on Trump so outrageously. I was surprised by the article because I had seen a fairly recent interview of her before talking fondly of him (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzQM-XJsa1o).
This clip also contains a short segment of an old interview from right after they broke up, in which she said: “Donald Trump would have no problem getting women if he didnt have a penny, because hes got one of the best personalities of anybody Ive ever met.” They seem to have broken up entirely amiably, which makes the NY Times article all that much more of a hit piece. One wonders what other distortions the article contains.
(Interestingly enough in the interview, she recalled that in the early 1990s, he once asked her: “Do you think I would make a good president?”)
Rowanne’s going to be on Fox & Friends tomorrow at 6:00 AM to tell how the NYT completely twisted what she said in the interview.
Former Trump girlfriend hits back at ‘upsetting’ NYT cover story
“Actually, it was very upsetting. I was not happy to read it at all,” Brewer Lane said. “Well, because The New York Times told us several times that they would make sure that my story that I was telling came across. They promised several times that they would do it accurately. They told me several times and my manager several times that it would not be a hit piece and that my story would come across the way that I was telling it and honestly, and it absolutely was not.”
