A Muslim terrorist stabbed four people at a train station near Munich while screaming, “Allahu Akbar”. In between proclaiming the glory of Allah, he also shouted that his victims were all “unbelievers”. A woman heard him say, “Infidel, you must die”.
The German authorities came to the inescapable conclusion that the attack had nothing to do with Islam. Instead the Muslim terrorist had been “mentally ill” and was probably not even fit to stand trial. The Koran wasn’t to blame. It was the fault of his psychological problems.
This isn’t surprising. It’s a well known fact that there is no such thing as Islamic terrorism. Instead there are just a lot of people out there, of Muslim origin, suffering from a unique set of psychological problems that cause them to shout Allahu Akbar while trying to kill people who aren’t Muslims.
This should not however be attributed to the notoriously peaceful religion of peace.

The real Catch-22 is that the "German authorities" are mentally ill, hence unfit to try a real terrorist.
It’s a curious story because the guy in question....27 years old...a German (not an immigrant)....had been on welfare for two years and work-comp the year prior...and had shown psychotic issues while at techno parties up in the Giessen area of Germany and consuming a fair amount of drugs. Authorities also note that the guy has never been a Muslim....never indicated any affiliation with Islam, and was regarded by family members as simply a nutcase.
It could be that conversion to Islam is more like a demonic possession rather than insanity.

I can’t say there is no mental illness involved because in some fashion a lot of individuals who convert to islam have some sort of issue. For example, the female convert usually has low self esteem and the male convert is usually angry and feels isolated from society. Or the male convert seeing how their religion is being denigrated day and day out is looking for an acceptable religion in which to belong. This is the typical convert in the west. When Islam penetrates the penal system and recruits (mainly blacks) in prisons they do so preying on their lack of self esteem and longingness to belong to a group. Islam comes along and tells them what they want to hear. It may not make logical sense to you or to me but the fact that their so-called prophet started recruiting the criminal element from the very beginning means that they have a huge head start on us. Mental illness, maybe. Their proselytizing techniques prey on the vulnerable to add numbers to their ranks. Muslims when you speak with them always tell you how many of them there are in the world, albeit it is usually inflated by a lot. They will quote stats from polls to favor them. Its not a mental illness its a sales technique that preys on the vulnerable to recruit people into their ranks.
For example muslims used to say there was 1.2 billion muslims but when analyzed that number was below 1 billion. Today their quoted number has risen to almost 2 billion. This is what I mean by inflated number.
As if we needed a sign that political correctness is its own form of madness, in Britain the Muslims and their enablers are more vocal and agitated about the Manchester railway station terrorism drill in which the simulated attacker shouted 'Allah Ackbar' than they are upset about an almost identical attack in Germany.
In other words, prepping for a real-life scenario based on current real-life events is being condemned.
I think it was a French reporter who went deep undercover into terrorist cells. He quickly discovered that the majority of the recruits knew next to nothing about Islam before, during or after. They were clinically mentally ill, heavy users of drugs, and/or garden variety criminals.

I would like those that think that ‘all mohammedans are crazy’, to return to all the atrocities committed by Mohammedans throughout SouthEast Asia, the Phillipines, and Indonesia, in the timeframe from the 1950’s till now, and say the same thing.
They will look like fools.
Under Islam, suicide is a sin. BUT, dying in a jihad operation guarantees you heaven. So, for a Muslim who wants to commit suicide, the only way to do it without sinning, is to arrange to die in a jihad operation.
This may be why there is such a fondness for suicide bombing over shooting up the place: detonating a suicide vest is a very quick and relatively painless death. Going in and trying to shoot up a crowd may result in a higher body count, but it carries the risk of being wounded instead of immediately killed.
Well, it stands to reason that a certain % of mentally disturbed violent people will simply think they are members of or actually join a group that regularly acts violent. Especially since this violence is acceptable to a large % of the group in question, and even a large % of society outside this group.

Pick up a copy of True Believer (1951), written by Eric Hoffer. He goes through a historical analysis of mass movements on an agenda and how people fall under this fake and fraudulent enthusiasm. He describes in perfect detail how a guy could wake up some day feeling that nothing had been accomplished and his life was worthless, and some guy could easily pick him up and brainwash into doing some act of violence. Hoffer’s book was mandatory reading for Eisenhower’s staff after he read the book. Almost seventy years later, the book lays out how this madness goes from zero to sixty.

In the case of this guy....he’s a Rave or Techno music obsessed guy. So, he’s into meth, speed, Ecstasy, hallucinogenic drugs, and cocaine.
I live in Germany, so I’m familiar with this trend. I’ve followed this story since it broke and know most of the details over this loser.
He’s a German-German (no ethnic group, just plain old German)....who is a loser (he’s been on welfare for two years and at least one year of unemployment comp)....so he hasn’t worked in a number of years (he’s 27 years old).
Based on the local account (from here in Giessen, his home town). He came home from his techno party episode on Sunday, and went into some crazed description of a criminal act which worried his aunt. She called the cops. They come and he’s still tripping on some type of heavy hallucinogenic drug, so they take him to the local hospital. Somewhere about three to four hours later....the guy just checks himself out of the hospital (walks away).
By all accounts on that weekend...from Saturday morning, all the way through Tuesday morning where he stabbed the guy...the cops seem to think that he was awake....going more than seventy-two hours on some type of really good mixture of drugs.
So, here’s my bottom line on this....there’s 99 things that I have to worry about on an average day in terms of me surviving and living through to the next day. Yeah, there’s crazy jihad Muslims, and various things.....but now, after looking at this guy....I have to worry about some loser on a 72-hour binge of hallucinogenic drugs who might yell Akbar right before he stabs me. Or he might utter Ten-buc-to, or Make America Great Again.
The world is crazy enough, with all this jihad stuff....but the techno freaks and obsession with party-drugs just make it one bit more dangerous.
Right, I would hazard it’s not often today that someone with legitimate mental problems didn’t make it worse with some type of psychotropic substance, either as a prescription to try to correct something else or as recreational. Not saying this guy had anything else wrong with him except drugging himself out of his mind, but that’s crazy enough, I suppose.
But something made him identify with Islam, at least in this case. Like you said, he could have raved about the hidden moon men or whatever. But he didn’t.
