I’m open to having the Democrat party pay reparations. That’s the organization most responsible for their suffering.
Reparations have been going on for 8 yrs. Every program, every lack of arrest, every free phone, 0care, no work for welfare, ...I’m sure there are more. Taking away from one group and giving it to another.

Ignore the fact that slavery has existed since the time of Nimrod (and perhaps earlier), and that it exists today.

That's clearly the case. The way the question is asked pretty much guarantees a skewed irrational response.
That's because of the "everyone else will pay for it" factor.
A useful reflection of actual attitude must clearly rephrase the exercise...
a) Should reparations be paid to all blacks currently living in the U.S. regardless of whether their family roots extend farther back than 1863 or not?
AND...
b) What percentage of YOUR lifetime earnings or income from all sources are you willing to contribute to the "reparations?"
If the responses are not monumentally different, I will voluntarily submit myself to an IQ reduction process of at least 40%. I value my sanity.

We “conservative” cranks have done a piss poor job of raising hell and fighting back for our future sake.
If just 1 % of Americans (3.3 Million out of 330 Million), organized and protested in DC and 50 state capitols, fought back and did outreach to schools, school boards, townhalls, and the like - we could say we were doing our best to ensure a free republic.

J Kimmel, J Watters and J Pirro often do on-the-street interviews. Most of the Millinnials and the next older group of people can’t answer questions or identify government leaders from photos;...really simple for people who care about what is going on in this country and the world.
I agree with you about reparations already have been paid as a result of the Civil Rights Act of ‘64, Affirmative Action, food stamps, Section 8 housing, etc., etc., etc.
This is continually brought up as a propaganda tool, to lay groundwork for more welfare benefits, or to bring out when there are threats to cut welfare. And to keep White people feeling constantly guilty over slavery, whether you or your ancestors had anything to do with it or not. Keeps the image of Whites as evil exploiters and oppressors of Black people going strong. And is hauled out to extract ever more concessions from Whites and as a further means of communistic income redistribution (see movie Dr. Zhivago).
Our socially liberal school systems have been indoctrinating children while we were busy working for a living and weren’t watching the daily indoctrination taking place in these institutions of “learning”. Now we are paying the price for it, a bunch of robot-like, indoctrinated young ideologues spouting what they have been taught to regurgitate year are year in our public school systems, as well as many private ones, all infested with socialist liberals.
I know, I retired from working at a public institution of higher learning some years back, and saw it up close and personal. We are reaping that which we inadvertently allowed to be sowed. It will be hard work to get our country back from this socialistic infestation.

I appreciate that you mentioned the CW was due to the economic success from tobacco and cotton in the South that the North wanted to end, rather than slavery which was an issue used as a catalyst for the CW. .....People also tend to forget or not know that the Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves in the Confederate States, but NOT in Union States; and many slave owners in the North were blacks themselves.

I was talking to a taxi driver who was being paid under the table and drawing every kind of handout program she could get on. We came around to Obama and she said the only thing he did that she liked was her free health care. I told her that meant that someone else was paying for her and her families health care. She was stunned you could tell that had never occurred to her. Millenials are f$$jing stupid.
