Amazon.com, the popular online retailer, is reportedly under pressure from shareholders to stop selling products associated with Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president.
According to the New York Post, a group claiming to represent 1,500 Amazon shareholders has asked CEO Jeff Bezos to end its marketing of Trump shirts, hats, ties and other products promoting the Trump campaign.
“This isn’t about politics: Donald Trump’s misogyny, racism and outright bigotry are dominating the political news cycle,” shareholder group UltraViolet said in a letter to Bezos.
The letter noted the continued presence of Donald Trump products “poses a risk to Amazon’s reputation.”
A spokesman for Amazon, which holds its annual shareholder meeting May 17, declined to comment to the Post.

I used to work at AT&T, and they had to deal with people like this. They would force shareholder proposals that were against the company's interests (and against the shareholder's interests) onto the annual ballot sent to all the shareholders. I don't think any of them ever passed. It was all political theatre.
This seems like a YUGE opportunity for another online retailer to make some big money.
I spend a lot of money at Amazon and got a couple of their gift cards for Mother’s Day.
If they knuckle under I’m finished with them.

The problem is that the people you refer to are liberals. Liberals NEVER learn. And they don't actually care to learn.
If Amazon should ban Trump-related goods and then see their sales drop 20%, every liberal in Amazon's hierarchy would say, "Yes, it was worth it to make our point."
And they would mean it.
Of course, a drop in sales like that would cause lay-offs among the folks working the warehouses. But that's a small price to pay to be a "progressive" company.
