Press Virtually Ignores Rendell's 'Have to Behave' Comment Directed at Sanders Delegates

Ed Rendell, the chairman of this year's Democratic National Convention, stepped in it bigtime in a Sunday interview with billionaire businessman and radio talk show host John Catsimatidis. He got in even deeper trouble with supporters of candidate Bernie Sanders when he tried to explain himself.

Though there's plenty of hostility in the Republican Party these days, there's no shortage of it among Democrats either. Rendell's comment that supporters of Bernie Sanders "have to behave" has raised the vehement ire of the Vermont senator's supporters, but has drawn almost no establishment press attention.

Should it get to that point, Rendell and surely other Hillary Clinton-supporting Democrats are concerned that Sanders delegates at this year's convention in Philadelphia won't handle a roll call vote clinching the presidential nomination for Mrs. Clinton well — perhaps disrupting the proceedings in front of a national TV audience, or even bringing the nightmare of Chicago's 1968 Democratic convention, where leftist riots which occurred outdoors contributed to nominee Hubert Humphrey's eventual loss to Richard Nixon, into the Wells Fargo Center.

Hmmmm. Maybe this should have been Cleveland's 'mare' making this statement. Any bets on which convention sees more destruction and rioting in the streets? Yup. All those hateful 'conservatives' will be tearin' up Philly. Or, maybe not.

There are two rigged systems. Trump is able to succeed by understanding it and overwhelming it. Sanders started with an assumption of a level playing field, or he wouldn't have said stupid stuff like "the voters don't care about Benghazi".

My point? I would think Sanders supporters should be mad as *ell, with the rigged super-delegate system. Why are people assuming there won't be a problem in Philadelphia?

Fingers are crossed for Cleveland. With the nomination settled, it should remove that wild card which could've been too much to handle, with forces trying to stop Trump.

Well, if there is a problem in Philly, it won’t be a bunch of Trump supporters causing it. Internal affairs is my guess.

Dhimmi’s not taking kindly to someone telling them to behave themselves?

This is my surprised face.

Perhaps it’s the LSM themselves, burying the story of the admonition in hopes that current generations of “journalists” can “be there” and “make their bones” at a repeat of “Chicago ‘68”?

Could they hire the Ohio National Guard? Oh, sorry, insensitive.

Ed Rendell, the chairman of this year's Democratic National Convention, stepped in it bigtime...Fast Eddy's pretty good at that sort of thing - back during the 2000 Bush-Gore standoff he was for a brief time chairman of the DNC, but then stepped in it by suggesting that Gore shouldn't contest the election beyond the first round of court decisions on the recount - bye bye chairmanship.....

The Left will riot in Cleveland and the press will blame it on Trump supporters.
