Ted Cruz supporters, and I am one, have a decision to make. My story on this decision starts on May 20, 2014, the night I had the great good fortune to attend a small dinner with Sen. Ted Cruz, to talk strategy and policy. Personally, I was skeptical of him and his chances in a potential presidential bid, which fluttered over the entire conversation like a smart, subtle butterfly.

Ted Cruz supporters are no doubt waiting for Ted to signal his absolute and unconditional support for our presumptive nominee Donald Trump.
After last night (West Virginia & Nebraska), the writing on the wall should be obvious.
Not tempted.
(But I still doubt we make it to the November elections in one piece).
Trump and Cruz are very different in style. In substance, I am 99% confident that Cruz is sincere, but far less sure he could have won in November. I am far less confident that Trump is sincere, but far more confident that he can win in November. Still, they mostly agree on Obamacare, the Second Amendment, Immigration, and many other key issues.
Ronald Reagan had it right on why Cruz fans should support Trump. See my tagline.
Ted Cruz is for Ted Cruz.
Period.
Open your eyes.
The ones who still support him are so invested. They've gone down that slippery slope and defended a lot of indefensible maneuvers, attitudes, and political connections that left most of us uneasy.
What's my point? The supporters Cruz has are in denial. They'll either come around or they won't; it's both emotional and intellectual. My inclination is to let them be unless they start making negative comments about Trump or talk about not voting (thus helping hillary) as preferable to Trump.
And Hillary thanks you for your support. Maybe they can reattach your nose that you cut off in spite.

For all those who care about the future of America — Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee for president. If she is elected, she will continue the same disastrous policies that have already done so much harm to the U.S. economy.
She will appoint radical leftists to the Supreme Court who will cripple the Bill of Rights, take away the powers of state governments, and strip Congress of even more power.
She will continue the pay-for-play system, whereby the U.S. government is more responsive to heavy campaign donors than it is to the people.
She will ram through trade deals that will give away U.S. sovereignty and jobs, and get nothing of value in return.
She will fight against the very idea that being an American citizen has some sort of legal significance, or that American citizens should be given privileges that arent shared with every other person on earth.
She will use the government to threaten her opponents, intimidate the press, and tilt future elections in her favor.
She will cower before our enemies abroad and thus, she will encourage them to continue to treat America with utter disdain and disregard.
She will worsen the crisis of confidence and credibility plaguing our entire system.
It should be glaringly apparent to any conservative or independent with common sense and minimal intelligence that Clinton will be an absolute disaster for this country, and must be stopped.
Unfortunately, many so-called conservatives have decided that they will not join this effort. Instead, these NeverTrumpers will help Hillary get into the White House by spending all of their time and energy attacking Donald Trump, a man who dominated the GOP primaries and who will be the Republican nominee for president in 2016.
I do agree, most will have come around and vote for Trump. The ones who support Cruz no matter what, I am just going to keep my distance because it is becoming simply compete no questions and unreasonable blind support.
This Cruz supporter needs only one reason: Hildebeast.
I voted for Cruz in the primary. I’ll gladly vote for Trump in the general.
Thank-you for your posted reflection.
I voted for Cruz in the primaries, but I'll vote for Trump in November.
Trump was extremely ugly to Cruz, largely for no good reason or truthfulness ( there are some exceptions).
I would expect a long time is needed to heal those injuries if they can ever be healed.
I am not particularly optimistic.
Yet the ugly stuff if I am not mistaken in regards to Cruz started when he lied about Dr. Ben Carson was dropping out in Iowa. So he shot his own two feet.
Looks like Paul Ryan and Rush Limbaugh got together on holding off support for Trump.
When cruz blamed Trump for the riots at a rally told me all I needed to know about cruz.
Cruz was no choir boy either, and his final meltdown prior to the Indiana primary where he got his clock cleaned did him no good. The unfortunate truth is, everything Trump has done in this campaign has been open and straight forward, he has called it the way he saw it and let the chips fall where they may.
Cruz on the other hand, early on established a record of being a sneaky snake, slithering around with the likes of that maniac Glenn Beck and the equally odorous Jeff Roe.
If Cruz entertains the idea of a continuing career in politics, he better get on board that Trump train, and soon.
Absolutely true Biggirl.
And I was still with Cruz at that point.
