Selection for president, if the 2016 presidential election was between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton

It was a 1.3 M vote margin, but your point is well taken.
I thought he sand he wouldn’t run? The demos have so much invested in Hillary I’m willing to bet they will go down with the ship.
I’m hoping so. Could be a blowout in Nov.
I thought McCain said he would support the nominee?
Just did a search, yes, he has.

Trump's worst enemies aren't going to be opportunistic RINOs like McCain, they're going to be globalist idealists.
YES! The thought of seeing that “cookie cutter” pants suit substitute for 4 years is horrifying!
You're right. Did you notice how depressed liberal elites on CNN, MSNBC and FOX were last night? It was like watching a funeral...
“If the GOP were smart, theyd have done something about the Electoral College when they had the political clout to do so.”
The Electoral College is a mechanism that helps to protect and assert state’s rights.
Please don’t help the Democrats erase state sovereignty! They’re doing a pretty good job of it already!!!
To the "never Trump" folks, I would just say go look at his policy statements on his campaign website and tell me what you disagree with. And yes, there are extensive details provided there, not just slogans. My take is that Trump is absolutely sincere in his concern for what is happening to the country and his desire to stop it. I agree with some that he does not have a deep philosophically conservative foundation, but he has been a businessman, not a political pundit. He hasn't spent his life philosophizing about conservative principles, but his instincts appear to be mostly conservative, certainly in the very areas in which the country is most threatened at the moment. THAT is why he is connecting with people, even some on the other side, because regardless of whether they hold themselves out to be a donkey or an elephant, they are all feeling the negative effects of the past 7+ years and they realize that Trump's solutions make sense.
Now I am watching to see who Trump selects as his running mate, and who he floats as potential cabinet secretaries, Supreme Court picks, etc. I think people will be surprised because I believe most of those choices will be solid conservatives. His promise to name the exclusive pool from which he would draw his Supreme Court nominees, for example, is brilliant. He's willing to lay all of his cards on the table to let people see their choice very clearly. I don't recall any other politician ever doing that before.
And his decision to begin his campaign by focusing on the illegal immigration issue was equally brilliant. Ann Coulter is right: If we don't deal with immigration (both legal and illegal) and fast, none of the niceties that the "never Trumpers" are so concerned about will matter. We either take decisive measures immediately to stop the attempt to "fundamentally transform" America through demographics, or it's game over. Trump is the ONLY candidate this cycle (and really within my lifetime) with the guts to FINALLY take on these issues and not care if someone calls him a name as a result. He's exactly the right person at the right time.
Doesn’t the Dem candidate need better than 90% of the black vote to just stay competitive with the Rep. candidate?
I’ve heard something like that. Also if Trump could get 12-13% that it get might get him elected.
