Your criteria are fine, but Trump has said the #1 thing he wants in a VP is political expertise to help get his agenda implemented through Congress. A Governor wouldn’t necessarily be disqualified, but neither Walker or Christie have been part of any legislature. Rubio served in the FL House and Kasich in the US House, of the other candidates. There are many good possibilities outside that group as well, but I’m sure Trump will have better connections with big donors than any of them.
African Americans are voting for him. They sometimes take a back seat and don’t show their cards (mixed metaphors are OK after two Diet Cokes). They don’t want to seem competitive with the illegals but they know they stand to benefit if the invasion is slowed or stopped. Other reasons too, of course.

I think the difference is the unbound delegates and how you want to add them in. A lot of the unbound are saying they will now vote for Trump.

Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic presidential primary in Nebraska, but it’s a victory for the Democratic front-runner that won’t get her any closer to clinching her party’s nomination.
That’s because Nebraska allocated all 25 of its delegates to this summer’s Democratic National Convention in a caucus held on March 5 that was won by the Vermont senator.
He took home 15 delegates from that caucus, while Clinton won 10.
Earlier Tuesday, Sanders won the Democratic primary in West Virginia.
I wish we could have a Sanders vs Trump election. This is a lesson our young people need to absorb. That is a powerful, real difference in government and a very good lesson for our nation.
