Donald Trump proposed a temporary ban on all Muslims entering the U.S. should he be elected president, but he might have at least one name on his list of exceptions: Sadiq Khan, the new mayor of London.
“There will always be exceptions,” Trump said on Monday, according to the New York Times. “I was happy to see that [he was elected] … Because I think if he does a great job, it will really—you lead by example, always lead by example. If he does a good job and frankly if he does a great job, that would be a terrific thing.”

When has a MAYOR!! of a European city visit the U.S. and there was some sort of fuss made?

The whole point of the ban is unvetted, unknown individuals that may have terrorist ties entering the country to stay.
He is well documented well vetted, he is just visiting for a few days..
Done, add him to the ‘allowed’ list, and then continue to work on a way to vet the rest of the Muslim individuals.
What do you expect? There are exceptions to every rule and he will have to work with high level Muslim officials. I”m not a Trump apologist but he’s the only one who has a chance of stopping the Muslim/illegal invasion.

On December 7, he said: I'll ban all Muslims until "we can figure out what the hell is going on"
On Dec. 8, his campaign released this statement:"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on."
In late March, he said he would allow his Muslim "rich friends" to enter.
None of these quotes are even remotely what you claim he has said "all along".
