One area in which Trump can be nailed down is his overall view of trade. As I explained at Conservative Review, when it comes to Trumps own financial dealings, he is an unrepentant globalist, from which he has made a fortune. But these days, as he runs for president, the billionaire is a radical protectionist who has repeatedly declared his intention to impose massive tariffs aimed at the economies of other countries, such as Japan and Mexico, and a forty-five percent tariff on products from China. Such broad tariffs would most certainly result in retaliation by the targeted countries. This is a sure job-killer that would also drive up costs of everyday products to low- and middle-class Americans. The net result: economic misery, not just for those hard-working, tax-paying Americans who work in industries that rely on international commerce and trade, but mostly everyone.

The last decent President. Unlike the free-traders, Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama.
I never really cared for him. If he could make money as a hard core leftist commentator, I suspect he would do so. Typical neocon.
You are correct in that view.
I’m leaning to Non American Open Border Globalists.
Trump has opened a lot of eyes during this primary, including yours truly!
I used to like Levin, what little I heard of him.
That’s not a stick, it’s his head.
“I have one book by Levin, Liberty and Tyranny. The concept and the premise were brilliant, but the writing was atrocious. It was painful to read. Its so bad you cant read it long enough for it to put you to sleep.”
Thanks for sharing that. Now I know it wasn’t just me. Levin has the writing skills of a high school student. As captivating as reading a term paper.
If Rush’s phone screener screens out all of the good Americans for Trump, his chats will lose even more listeners.
If more people like the one, you described get to chat with Rush, Rush will expose his true self over and over.
That will probably drive away more listeners.
Mark:
Free trade is not a one way street. It is a dance that countries do with one another. Whether the “tariffs” are taxes, health and safety regulations, or whatnot, there is no such thing as unencumbered trade.
Grow up. You’re beginning to sound like Beck.
Mark Levin is way behind the emerging popular sentiment that America has been ripped off and de-industrialized via these traitorous trade deals. Inside the Beltway politicos and hacks did great and so did their elite corporate donors. Lobbyists did great. While the American people and workers got the shyte end of the stick.
We can thank Donald Trump for waking up the American people about the “free trade” fraud.
Today America depends on the Federal Reserve Bank jacking up the markets and the economy by printing money. This is a phony bubble economy. Prior to NAFTA and WTO and China and other lousy trade deals, our economy was in better balance and more productive. We were a producer economy not a degenerate consumer economy.
One major bright spot is the fracking revolution. Far better to produce our energy here and employ Americans than to buy from Canada, Mexico, Middle East and so on. Our trade deficits would be much worse without fracking for oil and gas.
Levin—what a chump. He should retire to Uganda.
“Has Levin gone insane with hatred for Trump?”
Yes. he envies Trump to the point of sickness.
Rush will lose 3-5 million listeners over his abandonment of conservatism. Bye Rush, yo ho !
Agreed. Rush wasn’t as bad today, read a pro-Trump piece by some very well known historian or some such. then spent a bunch of time trying to reassure people (his Cruzer listeners?lol) that he hadn’t spent the last hour praising Trump. He did make a point of spending a lot of time on the anti-Trump Hillary ad, and played it probably 3 times. At least he said everything in the ad is old news and nobody cares.
Thanks for the summary of Rush today!
you’re welcome! my co-worker likes to listen, so I hear at least parts of it after lunch.
Reagan signed a trade bill that put a tariff on Japanese motorcycles to give Harley a fighting chance. It worked
I love Mark Levin. But dude......lighten up....we got to get rid of the Marxists
