One area in which Trump can be nailed down is his overall view of trade. As I explained at Conservative Review, when it comes to Trumps own financial dealings, he is an unrepentant globalist, from which he has made a fortune. But these days, as he runs for president, the billionaire is a radical protectionist who has repeatedly declared his intention to impose massive tariffs aimed at the economies of other countries, such as Japan and Mexico, and a forty-five percent tariff on products from China. Such broad tariffs would most certainly result in retaliation by the targeted countries. This is a sure job-killer that would also drive up costs of everyday products to low- and middle-class Americans. The net result: economic misery, not just for those hard-working, tax-paying Americans who work in industries that rely on international commerce and trade, but mostly everyone.

I have one book by Levin, Liberty and Tyranny. The concept and the premise were brilliant, but the writing was atrocious. It was painful to read. It’s so bad you can’t read it long enough for it to put you to sleep.
Now that I know Levin is working overtime to elect an establishment candidate supporting Free Trade, my thoughts about Mark Levin have changed. Even though this book by Levin was a complete waste of money, I never regretted making the purchase. However, I do regret buying it now. I also regret ever having listened to this jackass’s show.
Levin: Mr. Producer, Mr Producer, cough cough!
...They are trying to take TRUMP and put him in a box and he will not cooperate.....
Nor, will be cooperate in being “nice” to the arch enemy of a free America, Hillary. Go Donald.
As a stockrbroker and economist during the Reagan term. I can say Trump is much more like Reagan than any Repblican today. It is quite likely that on the economic Trump will be better. As for foreign policy in the Middle East anyone remember how RR got the hell out of Lebanon? The Middle East has gone to hell under the Bush, Clinton and Obama administrations.
Yes.
Even worse, we make these horrible trade deals, like the mess with Iran in some ways, where the ink isn’t dry before the other country announces they won’t be following it, yet WE are tied to it like Bre’r Rabbit and the tar baby.
Trump has exposed the cottage industry of conservative intellectuals and media types making millions off the base by railing against the establishment and selling their books. The base realizes, by supporting Trump, that the time for grandiose speeches are over and it's time to get our hands dirty. Levin and others see the gravy train disappearing, so they're lashing out at Trump. After this election, regardless if Trump wins or not, I see all of these institutions and figures like Levin, Beck, CPAC, etc. completely crash and burn.
I know! He hasn’t stopped the stabby stab stabbing for 1 MINUTE since Cruz suspended.
He will be off the air soon. Funny how when radio hosts fail, they just sort of... disappear.
I know I’ve lost a great deal of respect for them. It isn’t just that they are coming apart opposing Trump, it’s that they don’t understand why we, the people, are angry as hell. If they understood, they could have changed with the prevailing winds instead of blowing up their faux conservative “gravy train”. It saves me a lot of time and money. I don’t listen to their shows anymore and I sure as hell won’t be buying their books. I hope they end up feeling our pain in a very real way.
...If he doesnt do it then he will lose all political support. It better be real....
I believe Trump knows why he has struck a nerve. If he doesn’t follow through on OVERALL expectations, the country as we once knew it is lost forever. Alot is riding on this.
Hi Grandpa,
I’m thinking henceforth to always insert the word “Globalist” into these elitists’ names, to keep ever present in the readers minds that this is who these people really are. Their loyalties are NOT to America. What does that make them?
Mark Globalist Levin
Rush Globalist Limbaugh
Glen CrazyMan (oops, I mean Globalist) Beck
Paul Globalist Ryan
etc etc etc
Ditto. This guy has lost it!
Never thought I’d say Levin is a stooge, but he’s a STOOGE!!!!
On the other hand, his supporters will need to get him up to speed on the federal governments constitutionally limited powers so that he can help patriots keep the feds big nose out of INTRAstate commerce.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added]. Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Beck is sad too. They have families and bills. Very sad.
I know. I wish he would just stop already. He’s making an ass of himself and blowing a golden opportunity to humiliate Cankles.
A guy called in to Rush today, and I hope I understood him correctly because Rush sure as heck either didn’t understand, or didn’t want to understand, or acknowledge the guy was right. but anyway he said that we elect the republicans who promise x, y, z but then they don’t do it, because they are the defacto same as Dems, the establishment (not his exact words), and Trump will basically have to plow through them/get rid of them before he can deal with the democrats.
And I think Rush had to realize, that us people here in flyover really know that the GOPe is as bad as the dems and they have both got to go. I have RARELY , if ever, heard Rush at a loss for words, but he was speechless. he did not know what to say. so he was trying to buy himself time to parse what the guy said.
Levin is a out right Liar, He said Carrier was moving to Mexico because of EPA rulings, BS, they specifically said it was over wages. If it were over EPA standards, then the machines it produced in Mexico would not be allowed to sell in America. He just lies...
Levin will be reduced to hoping Donald Trump fails so he can prove he was right. That’s a hell of a way to face life each day.
Exactly. Trump has been very honest about using the system as it existed for his benefit, and that included donating to both sides and “getting along” with people. But it has been obvious since the very beginning that Trump was not happy with the direction the country was taking, and he knew it would lead to ruin. Eventually he saw the moment had arrived he needed to step up.
