Speaker Ryan said he would step down if Trump asked. USA today reported: Speaker Paul Ryan said Monday that if Donald Trump wants him to step down as a co-chairman of the GOP convention, he will respect his wishes. "He's the nominee. I'll do whatever he wants with respect to the convention," Ryan said when asked about that scenario in an interview with the Journal Sentinel. Ryan said he hopes he and Trump can begin to get to know each other when they meet later this week. "I just want to get to know the guy ... we just don't know each other," said Ryan, who delivered a political bombshell last Thursday when he said he wasn't ready yet to support his party's presumptive nominee.

I doubt Trump will boot him, but it sounds to me like Ryan would prefer not to have the spotlight right now. He’s painted himself into a corner. I suspect that the overwhelming amount of vitriol being directed toward him by the people has him dumbfounded.

An woman that has been married to a passive-aggressive man knows what a nightmare they are to deal with.

The way to deal with this type of passive-aggressive BS is to call his bluff and let him step down. Then you'll see the whining start because he didn't get his way.
