Speaker Ryan said he would step down if Trump asked. USA today reported: Speaker Paul Ryan said Monday that if Donald Trump wants him to step down as a co-chairman of the GOP convention, he will respect his wishes. "He's the nominee. I'll do whatever he wants with respect to the convention," Ryan said when asked about that scenario in an interview with the Journal Sentinel. Ryan said he hopes he and Trump can begin to get to know each other when they meet later this week. "I just want to get to know the guy ... we just don't know each other," said Ryan, who delivered a political bombshell last Thursday when he said he wasn't ready yet to support his party's presumptive nominee.

I agree. He's probably going to the Cantorized in the primary, anyway.
Great! Thanks Paul! Now step down!
All the way down.
Pay for your own health care and gym time next year.
There is no need to poat deceptive titles and posts.
This regards stepping down as Convention Chair.
That’s all.
I suspect Trump told Ryan he would DESTROY him if he didn’t knock it off. .
Trump should do it anyway, as Ryan is evil to the bone!
Step down now until you get that chip of your shoulder. Give us time to get someone smart in as chairman of the convention.
Okay, Donald. Ask.
Resign, Ryan.
You have betrayed America and Americans.
We’re done with you and everyone like you.
Replace him with Cheney
He likely will be Cantorized.
Trump will name one of the following as VP: gingrich...christie...huckabee...palin...sessions.
The candidate will have to 1] be trustworthy 2] have chemistry 3] help win..4] .have abilities.
Can you imagine tha ayottes, martinez, haleys, sasse, and their trust???
Step down. You of course will continue to get full salary, health benefits, $1 million per year for “office expenses” for life anyway, so why stick around when you can go be a lobbyist and make another $50 million per year on top of your House retirement package.
Paul Ryan is like some kind of passive-aggressive child.
And do an opus.
Wishing a “big tent” with as much support and participation and possible, I would not have suggested he step down before. But since he has made such a big deal about not being willing to support the R ticket, he does not belong in the convention hall...and should now be replaced.
They begged him to take the position....and have finally realized they made a biiiiiig mistake.
Sounds like Paulie is backpedaling pretty fast.
