I've got a 5c which I find entirely suitable, so I don't have to worry about TouchID at present. But should I upgrade at some point to a phone with it, it's getting disabled. And if I can't be sure it is, I'll grit-sand the sensor.

Just remember the iPhone 5C is the only one they CAN unlock without your cooperation.

Quite so. I fully intend to upgrade my phone prior to any planned nefarious activities.

How long before an app exists that lets you lock the phone entirely with the wrong finger? I know the thumb or forefinger is the easier ones to use but maybe you assign the unlock to a pinky and a self destruct to the forefinger, problem solved.
