John Dickerson was one of the better moderators we saw during the campaign season. He asked solid questions and follow-up question, didn’t editorialize and kept the trains running on time with multiple candidates to juggle. This space gave him an ‘A’ for the way he handled a Democratic presidential debate back in December.
But an interview with Hillary Clinton that was broadcast this morning on CBS’ Face the Nation was not only profoundly disappointing, but even disgraceful… particularly for someone as seasoned as the 47-year-old CBS political director and host. Never have there been so many questions to a presumptive presidential nominee that were so unfocused, so tilted, so teed-up, so non-probing than whatever that was Dickerson served up during his long sit-down this morning.
Here are a few examples, with the first being one of the most insulting questions I’ve seen a journalist ask a candidate when it comes to media coverage in recent memory (emphasis mine):
DICKERSON: “You have said that he should be asked hard questions now that he’s in the general election, essentially. What are the — give me three hard questions you think he should be asked.
Wait. Whoa. What? Did a major network host and political director just ask a likely presidential nominee what the media should be asking her competition? Is it Mother’s Day or April Fools’ Day?
No matter. Trump has done plenty of interviews with Dickerson and – if an effort to treat both sides equally – was probably asked what he’d like the media to ask Hillary, right? Nope. A check of all transcripts shows no such question was remotely broached. On cue and almost looking gleeful to offered such a gift,

As for Dickerson—can’t stand him. He is condescending and smug to the point of being a caricature. Even worse, Major Garret (former of FNC) seems to have caught his disease.
When you are getting paid $15 million per year and you have no professional ethics, morals, or self respect, you can easily publicly whore yourself out when your contemporaries are doing the same.
I think Trump will convey the message, and to a much larger audience.
No. There is nothing Dickerson or any other media buttboy could defecate on any of its shows that would disgrace the fifth-column SeeBS, which resides in its own hull-crushing abyss of leftist excrement, created by Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, and many others.
The beauty of this campaign? This kind of stuff will happen over and over again, and it won’t matter one wit.
They obviously have to protect Hillary!, but it ain’t gonna’ work, Trumps going to reach right in and beat her like a baby seal.
I got a big screen TV for my office so I can see the beatings up close and personal, they’re going to be that good.
Hillary probably doesn’t give an interview without a 20-page contract including the stipulation that the interviewer’s testicles will be kept in her lockbox during the interview, and only released on “satisfactory” completion of the interview.
The Clinton crime family lives on. Amazing they still walk the streets as free people. Well, they did prove that big crime in government does pay....but then the Rats now have many doing the same thing.

This morning’s “interview” by Dickerson was one of the most kiss *ss interviews I have heard in a long time. It was a really rotten interview, a D- or maybe an F grade interview. Dickerson should be very embarrassed. All the Media talking head Hillary sychophants are going to go into high gear now that the general elections part of the campaign are about to commence, in fact have commenced. They will all be kissing Hillary’s *ss while trashing Trump big-time. Get ready for it; it’s starting now and will only get worse.
Trump is (will be) the ONLY candidate who WOULD take on Hillary. Maybe Cruz - until he gets “schooled” by the GROPe establishment into submission as a price for the nomination.
But nobody else will do it. I don’t like Trump particularly much - Cruz is better on policy and on foundations - but NOBODY else will dare attack Hillary. And today’s ABCNNBCBS news knows it.
By the way, Trump is probably as “conservative” as the Bush family. If not more so.
And disgracing SEE-BS news is pretty damned hard to do.
The great thing is that Trump can turn this into a positive. A short video showing the contrasting questions being asked of candidates will demonstrate that the media are part of the establishment that Trump’s supporters are learning to despise and ridicule.
