What in the hell is going on?

What in the hell is going on in this country with the politics?

I just channel flipped across Fox, MSNBC, and CNN (9:30 am Mountain time).

Fox had a panel blasting Trump for tweeting himself eating a taco bowl when he wants to deport all the illegals. Gee if I remember we still ate sauerkraut during WWII. And then one of the panel said there is no such thing as a taco bowl. I guess here in New Mexico I have to stop eating taco bowls because they do not exist.

Then the panel on MSNBC wanted to know what the big deal was with a couple hundred white guys losing their job in West Virginia. These miners are a miniscule number compared to the rest of the country so who cares.

And lastly CNN panel was asking how Trump could be the nominee when he only got 38% of the votes in the primaries. Stop and think if 38% of the Republican votes are more than any Republican candidate has gotten in the primaries during the last 30 years, look at all those 62% that did not vote for him. That means that probably there were millions of Republicans who must have voted several times in these primaries.

Just finished watching “Fox News Sunday.”

The market is a wide open for a motivated entrepreneur to start a true “conservative” cable channel. At the moment there isn’t one.

Those things are like shiny baubles meant to deflect and distract.

Recall in 2012 all of the silly ‘little’ things that showed up in the media regarding Romney and the Republicans.

That is what the media and opposition does. These shiny objects make for a half-day news coverage. They may even expand into a whole day or even two of ‘news’. The 24/7s need something to occupy time slots.

We’ve wandered off the trail and are essentially squabbling amongst ourselves over the last of the trail mix.

We need to have a goal we can pull together to strive for.

Instead we have Uber...

Feigned indignation.

Libs/media LUV it. Find something minuscule and make it into something. Or, the ole adage: Make a mountain out of a mole hill.

When Trump tweeted that photo of himself eating a Taco Bowl and stating that Trump Tower has the "best Taco Bowls", he knew he would dominate the weekend news cycle with that silliness. He may seem like he does a lot of dumb spontaneous things but everything is calculated, right down to the photo of Marla Maples that was sticking out from under the Taco Bowl. He knew that would send certain folks into a tizzy.

He even dominated Weekend Update on SNL last night! With regard to SNL, they made fun of both Trump and Crooked Hillary and Trump came out better in the deal. One skit had "Barbie President" doll made to look like Shrillary and the mother tried to get her little girls to play with it but the girls decided that the doll was boring and would rather play with a broom than the Barbie President doll. Funny stuff!

Also Dana Carvey returned as "Church Lady" and interviewed Trump with Melania and Ivanka along with another unidentified beautiful woman. When asked who the third woman was, Trump replied that she was just another model that he picked up for the night. Classic!

Trump knows exactly what he's doing and he's living inside the heads of the media and his political opponents.

“It was the liberals’ sacred Cinco de Mayo day. “.........

Which had NOTHING to do with America or Americans, it was to celebrate the war between the French and Mexico. In America it’s just a day to drink beer, eat Mexican food and celebrate WITH the Mexicans who are LEGAL here.

That’s a “micro aggression” if I’ve ever seen one.

What’s next, fried chicken, a matzoh ball, an egg roll, a meat ball?

If Trump eats a frankfurter on July 4th will he be offending citizens who came here from Germany?

I know...Thing about it, it isn’t even a mole hill...
The left (and the GOPe) are at a loss trying to find some way handle Trump...Their lack of understanding the world outside of the beltway is glaringly obvious....

Born in Roswell & lived there till 6th grade. Military tours in WSMR, El Paso and Las Cruces.

Without a doubt the single most incendiary, idiotic sentiment I have ever encountered from ‘other Americans’.

Useful now for sarcastic rhetoric in this forum.

I apologize for the latest transformation of our America.

“Taco bowls.” are the new guac bowls.

`The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.’

The above passage is what they’re used to: control the message, minimize the opposition with fake outrage and derision.
But Trump and the internet have changed the game so completely that the monolithic power elite are absolutely flibber-jibbeted.
Just my 2 cents.

Howard Kurtz is sort of like Chris Wallace. They are Libs trying to disguise themselves as moderates.

On cursory examination, they succeed. But listen to them frequently and their lib-ness comes out.

What you see on display, here, is the lack of intelligence assembled in TV panel discussions.

This tweet was needlessly provocative in Trump's part. Which is why I LOVE it!!! Trump is wearing them out. By the time summer is over, their PC weapons will have blunted.

I think you're on to something. Trump baited them, and they jumped on it.

By insinuating that the taco bowl was racist and insensitive, the MSM has, by extension, called Middle America racist.

Because, who doesn't like taco salads?

Is it racist to eat corned beef and cabbage on St Pat's day? What about green beer?

Corn at Thanksgiving? A misappropriation of Native American culture! Maize belongs to the Indians!

He has made them look like fools.

Unfortunately this is all thought engineering. We are being conditioned by all the "news" outlets not to like Trump and they are shotgunning their reasons to see what sticks.

The funny thing is that it hasn't worked so far.

Yeah! Trump didn’t say he wanted to deport “illegal taco bowls.” The media are traitorous a**es.

Media have been trying to get or create a ‘macaca moment’ since Trump announced his candidacy last June. Every time they thought they had one, Trumps numbers went up another 2 or 3 or 5 points.

The media are fit to be tied. This kind of stuff used to work! Why isn’t is working now?

Possibly because too many finally figured out the media game and are not wanting to play it any more.
