An Ivy League professor says his flight was delayed when a fellow passenger mistook his scribbling on a math problem as a sign he might be a terrorist.
American Airlines confirms that a woman expressed suspicions about University of Pennsylvania economics professor Guido Menzio.
He was flying from Philadelphia to Syracuse on Thursday to give a talk at Queens University in Ontario, Canada. He was working on a differential equation, but said he was told the woman thought he might be a terrorist because of what he was writing.
Casey Norton, a spokesman for the air carrier, said the womens allegations about Menzio were deemed not credible.

Perfect
Too late. The NEA already snagged her to teach common core math.
I just thought it was always amusing that their first statement to investigators was "I still had checks left, so I thought I could use them".

Yup! that’s it! Thanks for the confirmation!
I hate having to fill out forms in print. I do better filling them out in cursive writing and they should teach it in schools again.
We need to treat people who make these kind of bogus "threat" complaints the same way we treat people who prank-call 9-1-1 lines and ask to speak to Ben Dover.
No, the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides.
And yet Menzio's flight from Philadelphia to Syracuse on Thursday night was delayed by more than two hours after the woman sitting next to him told the crew she was worried about her seatmate. The woman, whose identity was not revealed and is believed to be in 30-something, initially told a flight attendant that she was feeling too ill to travel, an American Airlines spokesman told the Washington Post.
But when they escorted her off the plane, the woman told the crew she had actually been feeling suspicious of Menzio and wanted to be booked on another flight.

The creepy leftist professor used the occasion to bash Trump.
The “Big Education” establishment is a way to route funds to Democrats.
So that’s exactly what I would expect.
