Vice President Joe Biden on Friday indicated that he was disappointed in Donald Trump's taco bowl tweet on Cinco de Mayo, and said that he hopes the presumptive Republican nominee begins to talk more seriously about the issues.
He's a smarter guy than this," Biden told Fox 5 DC. "I hope he reaches the point where he figures out that its not a game show and that he begins to talk in earnest about where he would take the country."
"Because that is the kind of debate the public deserves. I know Hillary [Clinton] or Bernie [Sanders], if he is the nominee, will do that," he continued. "But the American public deserves genuine a debate at this moment in our history on the direction of the country whether we continue the direction we are on and moving forward or are we making a significant change. Im not sure he knows."
Now Joe, which kind of Indian are you talking about, the one’s that grew up riding elephants or the one’s who can give you a war whoop? That’s an “important distinction.” Perhaps you can contact Elizabeth Warren, when she gets out of the “Sweat Lodge” and ask her advice.
LMAO, this Trump post about Taco salad currently has 609K Likes, 224K Comments and 585K Shares on facebook.
The latest Hillary post from two days before only has 43K likes and 2K shares.
Mission accomplished.
But that's hardly the point.
Trump's Taco Bowl tweet was intended to get under the skin of his critics and it worked wonderfully.
Trump was giving the people hysterical about his border position the finger. And everyone is too stupid to realize it. Funny stuff.
Well Cinco De Mayo isn’t really much of a Mexican holiday anyway.
It’s an excuse for us gringos to guzzle beer and eat nacho chips.
Why would YOU need to speak with a "slight Indian accent"?
The owner might HAVE one, but he's still speaking English.
I don't like PC nonsense, but if a white patron came in and spoke with a "slight Indian accent", it would be considered rude, and mocking.
Jeez, Joe.
Bad touching Creepy Uncle Joe!
Sounds like Joe is attempting to sound Presidential?
You’re right, Joe. This is not who we are. Or something.
“I don’t like PC nonsense, but if a white patron came in and spoke with a “slight Indian accent”, it would be considered rude, and mocking.”
But isn’t that exactly what Hillary does when “she goes down south?” And yes, it is rude and mocking. It’s as bad as making a mockery of someone who has a physical disability.
Well, sorta. There was a demonstration of a color TV image at Bell Labs. It used a mechanical image device, and wasn't broadcast for the general public, since no one had any device that could receive the signal.
Cinco de Mayo’s not a Mexican holiday either. It’s only marked in Puebla, where the battle took place.
If I had to shake that many hands I would not want to touch food with my hands either. I don’t now unless I have just washed them.
Love it!!
I frequent legalinsurrection.com. They’ve gone Full Beck over there with hatred for Trump.
The author of an article and the #neverTrump commenters were trying to prove that the Trump Tower cafe doesn’t even have taco bowls on the menu.
Even when the menu featuring it was produced, they claimed it wasn’t the same cafe that Trump said it was.
The hate for Trump has turned otherwise intelligent people into babbling idiots.
There is nothing at all wrong with Mr Trump’s tweet. We should not allow the Left to define what is acceptable. Joe Biden opining on what is appropriate is particularly laughable.
I thought it was pretty funny.
Let me guess. Jeb! guy?
No, actually, he's not.
That tweet set the country ablaze trying to figure out every detail about why he did it, why was Marla Maple's picture in it, and what he meant by "I love hispanics."
He knows that every time he does something, people are going to talk about him.
It would cost a fortune to get the amount of publicity he gets for free.
I don't know if he really said it, but the quote is out there, "Of course Mexico is going to pay for the wall. I got the media to pay for my campaign, didn't I?"
