It is also located about 15 miles (24 km) north of Bellingham, and about 95 miles (153 km) north of Seattle. The population of Lynden is about 12,902 according to the United States Census Bureau. Residents of Lynden are known as "Lyndenites". Lynden is also home to the Northwest Washington Fair.

Maybe 1 in 10 or 15 starts on time. Delays range from 15 minutes to over an hour.

No, the fairgrounds entrance is by 18th, but the block between 18th and 19th is long. (There is a traffic light at Front & 19th.) Once the line lengthens, it will spill out Front, past the cemetery, to Guide Meridian Road.

I'm expecting the line to lengthen dramatically in the next few hours.

The parking lots around the fairgrounds are holding well, but that could change. A lot of the people who live in that neighborhood will charge to let you park in their yard. This is customary for when the fair comes late in the summer.

So far no one has tried to steal a reserved parking spot at my place, but it's still early.
