A pro-Donald Trump tow truck driver refused to a help a disabled customer stranded on Interstate 26 in Asheville, North Carolina on Monday because she supports Bernie Sanders.
"Something came over me, I think the Lord came to me, and he just said, 'Get in the truck and leave,'" said Ken Shupe of Shupee Max Towing in Traveler's Rest, South Carolina. "And when I got in my truck, you know, I was so proud, because I felt like I finally drew a line in the sand and stood up for what I believed."

***have a tow truck driver pass you by because of your political beliefs?***
She was not in danger, he just inconvenienced her. His choice to make, and he may see good and/or bad consequences from it. I want no governmental action involved in this.

This asshole truck driver will now be used as an example of a typical Republican.
Ever bypass a hitchhiker because you didn't like his looks? Then you may be the same kind of asshole as you judged this tow-truck driver.

If somebody needs help, you help them. Regardless of whom they support politically.
Great. Unfortunately, those people on the other side will not do the same, so we will have more of the same situation where regular Americans are nice to leftwing nutbags while leftwing nutbags routinely kick regular Americans in the huevos. I refuse to condemn this guy for doing what he did while the Left continues their regular nastiness. In a sane, decent country I would condemn this, but that is not where we live now.

“Ever bypass a hitchhiker because you didn’t like his looks?”
Nope. I’ve bypassed every hitchhiker I’ve ever seen because I’m not an idiot.

True. All he needed was to a “Towing Price List” with two columns, one “Trump Supporters” and one “Other”

Not cool. People who have Bernie stickers need all the help they can get, they don’t need to be treated poorly.
To: Mollypitcher1
Don’t get me wrong, I despise liberal nutcases, like Bernie supporters.
If I was a tow truck driver whose job it is to keep traffic moving and get stranded cars off the road, however, I’d tow Bernie supporters because to not do so would be to put people in danger, and that’s not what God wants us to do, even liberal idiots.
In short, while I “get” the anger, this was a douchey thing to do. Makes Republicans look bad.

Didn't call you an idiot. But you are not very smart either, possible asshole.

She’d have expected it to be “free” like burny says.

Individualism used to be the norm in America. People did what they saw fit according to their own beliefs. Political correctness has so negated the individual that it is expected to do what someone else wants because thats the way the left has brainwashed us.
Really? When? Older people may remember when politics wasn't a major concern for people who were generally neighborly.
Fifty or seventy-five years ago, if your job was towing motorists, how likely were you to leave somebody by the side of the road because he or she voted for Roosevelt or Stevenson or Kennedy, rather than Dewey, Eisenhower or Nixon (or vice versa)? Wouldn't behavior that partisan have raised eyebrows and provoked disapproval back then?

I agree more to the story. How the motorist acted is an unknown. With some idiots the surest way to be sued is to help them and they claim damage. I don’t buy that it was just Bernie stickers.

Smart enough to know that a tow truck driver’s job is to keep people safe by removing stranded vehicles, regardless of how stupid the occupants of said vehicles are.
It was a douche move on the part of this driver. Makes Republicans look bad.
It’s also bad business.
I bet there is a high correlation between Bernie supports and people who have crappy cars that they don’t take care of.
That’s his prime customer base.

The driver did the very best thing for her by informing her by his example that she was making critically wrong decisions in her life. What could be more loving?
