Seasoned Republican operative Ed Rollins is making his debut in Donald Trump's presidential bid.
Rollins, who was Ronald Reagan's 1984 campaign manager, spoke on a conference call Wednesday with supporters of Great America, a super PAC that backs Trump. Rollins has signed on as a strategist for the group.
Rollins says the super PAC aims to help offset what he sees as a huge financial advantage for likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. "They're licking their chops," Rollins says of Clinton's team. "They think they're going to win this thing."
Great America will likely conduct polls, collect opposition research and run television ads in the lead-up to Election Day, Rollins says. First, though, the group must raise money: As of the end of March, it was almost $700,000 in debt, fundraising documents show.
Ben Carson, a prominent Trump ally, also spoke on the call - a signal that the billionaire businessman is more accepting of outside help from groups that during the primary contest he had called "corrupt."

The first thing he should tell Trump is get your rear in gear. He is way behind the curve. He’s behind in organization. He’s behind in fundraising. He’s behind in campaigning. Hillary has been doing this for years.
How exactly do you blame Rollins for say a Michelle Bachman loss?
It’s like saying Karl Rove deserves all the credit for W winning. Although I’ve grown to dislike the Bush’s a big part of Bush winning in 2000 is just that he could somehow relate to people without coming off like a privileged elitist from a status family. Compare and contrast that with Al Gore. I don’t care about popular vote, I am talking about in Red States, the candidate had certain innate abilities that Al Gore did not. Gore was stiff and wooden.
This isn’t to say Rove had a bad strategy. However Rove could have ran Mitt Romney’s campaign and Mitt would have still found a way to lose it.
I personally value Ed Rollins’ input here. Trump style America First Republicanism with the right people can create a massive Mondale style beat-down. These days I don’t think you could get 49 states but if he wins swing states, and picks off NY/NJ it will be a landslide, and thus a mandate. During the Reagan years the Boll Weevil’s often supported Reagan because of the landslide win. They didn’t want to go back to their district and be seen as too “against” Reagan.
Rollins has been usually right more than wrong. Trump is the kind of candidate he would love to work with, and advise. Trump can make the decisions.
When you have many people working in the same direction you get results, unlike all the naysayers and do nothings out there like Rush, Levin and Beck who will have their sour grapes for ever.
Rush couldn’t stop the criticism of everyone pouncing on his boy. Fact is, Cruz was a lousy candidate, and make enemies. I think his whole campaign changed when he went after Trump in the debates, and brought on Beck and Romney.
Lol.. Yeah, Rush had a rough day today, didn’t he? Schadenfreude is delicious. Can’t wait for Levin too! He’s going to be near suicidal.
Speaking of suicidal: How did Glenn Beck do today? Wondering if he even showed up.
He just beat the ground machines of Cruz and Kasick.
He is ready to beat Hillary like a dirty rug.
You need to change your handle...you ain't so brilliant.
Quick...change your handle from "brilliant" to "gas-bag"...
Don't wait...do it now.
Hey! He’s the one who suggested Kasich not me. Who are you suggesting?
