Nolan Ryan? :P
Think taller and more American that any of the former Senators that ran for President this go-around.
Not any former Senator named Ryan, although perhaps one approximately the same height as Nolan.
A former Senator who has perfectly positioned himself to serve immediately as Trump's Vice-President with all the required political contacts and know-how.

Agreed. Kasich is far from the worst governor Ohio ever had, but he was marginal at best. He is lucky that, unlike Rubio, his home state voted for him.
Beyond that, he went nowhere. Finishing ahead of Cruz in a handful of ultraleft states which the GOP has no hope of winning means nothing.
Trump was classy in his praise of Cruz last night and his silence on Kasich. It makes this former supporter of Ted Cruz an enthusiastic Trump voter rather than merely a reluctant one.

Here’s a guy that royally effed up an enormous opportunity. Bought into the obamacare concept despite 70% disapproval on the issue in his own state.

I like Gingrich as Chief of Staff. He knows how to get things done in DC. VP isn’t his cup of tea, IMO.

Kasich heading back to Ohio — and our state was running so well without him.

I’ll give Ted credit for a good concession speech. I also hope we can come together to defeat Hillary.

I think that Trump should run a televised, vice-presidential version of The Apprentice.
Hog TV ratings all the way up to the convention!

As a Trump supporter I have been offended and insulted and called plenty of names by Cruz supporters. I think
both sides needs "extend the hand of unity" for the sake of our nation. Jim has asked for unity for some time.
Even if we dislike the other candidate, it now appears it is Trump or Hillary. If one really can't back Trump then don't but why feed the liberals by more nasty comments on FR.

Anyone who supports a ‘natural born’ Canadian for the office of US president is NOT a conservative. Conservatives follow the ‘original intent’ of our Constitution, we refuse to make it into a ‘living’ document to be destroyed. Are you prepared to accept that reality?

Good...he needs to, and we need him to. Its over.
Clean the slate and let Trump now be the nominee and lets defeat Hillary and the DNC.

The RNC gave him an ultimatum. Time to call off the dogs and stop attacking Trump. It is futile and counterproductive.

Santorum?
Good guess but no sweater.
I guess that the one I have in mind won't get the nod because no one is remembering his name; that's not good.
(Still, he's a perfect former Senator to run and serve as Trump's Veep. Mature, but not too old.)

If Trump hadn’t done so well since New York, Kasich’s delegates would be valuable to Trump. Trump would have paid off Kasich’s campaign debt for them if he needed them to get to 1237. But Trump doesn’t need them now, so they have become worthless. Now Kasich is in debt and continuing to get further in debt the longer he stays in.
