I was in Jindal’s corner in the beginning. I only saw him speak a couple of times but he was quite impressive, not to mention his record as Governor of Louisiana.

I was shocked that he tried to bash Trump (at the behest of Karl or Reince I’m sure) on his way out of the race. It was below Jindal to do that.

If bygones can be bygones, I hope there’s a place for Mr. Jindal in a Trump administration. He’s a good man, and he has much to offer.

So you are allowing what fellow voters say to you, calling names and insulting, to determine your vote? Can’t you think for yourself?

My FRiend, if you consider Donald Trump to be "evil" you are not being honest with yourself. Notwithstanding that you are profoundly disappointed that Trump is nowhere near as conservative as is Ted Cruz (few professional politicians are) ... to label Trump as "evil" is more than a gross mischaracterization of the man, it's dishonest. However much distrust (perhaps even hatred) you have of Donald Trump you cannot honestly doubt his love for America and for American citizens.

I sincerely hope you reconsider and think rationally when you vote in the general election. Supporting -- either tacitly or directly -- whichever socialist the Democrats run would be a failure to do your part to protect our Republic from the evils of tyranny. Furthermore, even considering Trump's questionable conservative bona fides, providing support to a socialist candidate for President would be a dereliction of your responsibility -- as a conservative -- to defend the Constitution.

I agree with Jindal. I’m obviously no Trump fan, but he is proud to be an American, while Hillary hates everything that made this country great. I didn’t like Romney either, but I was glad to cast a vote for him in what proved to be a futile attempt to stop Obama from a second term.

Hillary hates America. That is obvious. Trump, whatever else I think of him, loves America. It makes the choice simple for me.

Trump supporters who have been insulted, lied about, called names etc

And many Trump supporters have insulted, lied, and called names. I know the name calling came straight down from the candidate, because he also called his opponent a name almost every time he referred to him. It became commonplace, but it never became decent...in fact, similar comments made about the other candidate would get you banned on this site...that is how bad it was.

And someone using your name has used the account to post some of the most vile trash about one Ted Cruz. At one point when many people who wouldn't tow the Trump line got zotted, the account got suspended. I, for one, was glad to see it. The constant trash posted by this account was terrible...more than once I saw a title that screamed 'I am trash about Cruz'...and I was able to guess who posted it...Proudly posted it, 'thanking Jesus' every time they posted the trash.

I haven't been around FR as much in the past few weeks, because of the trash posts that were littering this site. Now, many that did the littering are telling us to all come together...and blaming the other guy for making this site the trash bin that it became. Stopping before I say anything (else) that I might regret.

He doesn’t even understand the difference between a democracy and the way our founders set up our Constitutional Republic.

“If the Republican is as vile as the Democrat, what’s the point?”

Because they are not equally vile. Hillary actively seeks to destroy America. Trump...well, I’m not a fan. Not by a long shot. But he doesn’t hate America.

If Hillary is not demon-possessed, then she sure does a great imitation. If she became demon-possessed tomorrow, how would she change? Would anyone notice a difference?

If this was 2008, I might think we could survive 4 years of a demoncrat in office. But we’ve already had EIGHT years of that, and I don’t see how we survive 12 in a row.

I guess that means you will never vote again.

The problem with statements like “Republicans Who Won’t Support Trump Help Clinton” it does not inspire people to support Trump. Instead it is offensive and more likely to push them further away. It is the same as saying to someone who disagrees with you “Those who don’t agree with me are stupid”.

The smarter move to inspire support for Trump is to focus on the democratic candidates. It’s easier to partner with the enemy of my enemy when they are already in the fight or to bring them into the fight by taking the lead.

The way I see it,
Trump and Sanders are both third party candidates running under the Democratic and Republican banner. The only thing I wish supporters on the republican side would consider is this.

Trump supporters are tired of GOP candidates who are so politically correct they can’t speak for themselves much less for us.

The Never Trump group “like Beck, Levin etc” have spent a huge amount of time, money, prayer and hope trying to change the GOP composite from a good ole boy progressive lite leadership into a constitutional conservative organization. Trump does not (yet) fit that image. In their minds, Trump represents a heart wrenching and devastating blow to all the gains they have made. It’s like climbing a mountain, falling all the way to the bottom, starting over, but beaten and with less energy.

The only thing anti Trump and Pro Trump republicans have in common is Democrats and their own anger with the GOP establishment. Beating each other up is simply the most entertaining victory a democrat will ever receive.

Your concern is well-founded. I understand and agree that, as the presumptive nominee with a very good chance of being elected President, Donald Trump must recaquaint himself with our founding documents and principles.

That acknowledged, another four years of Democrat socialist tyranny with the political/philosophical balance of the USSC literally at stake (I know this is not supposed to be a factor with the judicial branch of government but it clearly is!) cannot be allowed to happen ... and conservatives are a critical component of this defense of our Republic and our liberty.

This election has been very revealing. All the curtains have lifted. We do not have a two party system, it is one party. And they sold out to the Globalists, both of the fake-parties, damn them.

Trump is crude. Some of his positions are outright liberal. But he’s a Populist. not a conservative. He’s an ally against the Globalists who have infiltrated both parties.

On my two dearest issues (illegal immigration and the Second Amendment) Trump and I share values. Those are enough, for now.
