Unless a lot of those Bernie Sanders voters vote for Trump, Bernie had more voters in New York than Trump and Bernie finished second.

I think Trump should wait a bit yet. I think he needs to also be very careful and remember what happened to Reagan and Kennedy.

Obama picked Biden with that in mind.

I will be very disappointed if Trump chooses any advocate of Amnesty for criminals. Rubio, Jeb, and Kasich are all strong advocates for illegals, and any of the three would make me question Trump’s sincerity.

““I have the business — let’s call it talents,” Mr. Trump said. “And I think I’ll probably go the political route, somebody that can help me with legislation and somebody that can help me get things passed and somebody that’s been friends with the senators and the congressman and all.” “

Gotta have friends who can influence the insiders because he can no longer buy them outright.

How about *no*. Anyone dumb enough to sit on a couch simpering at Nancy Pelosi on video while she blathers on about global warming is too damn stupid to hold any office in the US.

Not impressed. Calling Newt stupid is ridiculous.

Even Newt has admitted that sitting on that couch with Pelosi was stupid, when he was pressed.

I have seen nothing since that makes me trust his post-Couch judgement.

Sounds like the first lineup of the night at a gentlemans’ club :) except for Jan. That’s a pretty plain name

Newt is the best selection. He knows Washington. Your photo is so hackneyed. I have pictures of FDR at yalta. So what?

I want to respond to a few here.

First choosing a black VP to swing the black vote. We have past experience on this, Mike Steele when he ran as senator and more recent with Bernie and Hillary. Even though our hearts would like to see the black vote swing it is entrenched and continues to vote Hillary. The risk to benefit is not a good one

On Rubio and his natural born citizenship, who cares it would be a distraction for the Democrats, they would insult some of their supporters and even if the lawsuit won by then the election would be over and Trump would be president.

On a women as VP. Do this if you want to make the election to be entirely about women, diminish Trumps issues, take a chance that an unknown will mess up, take Melania out of the spotlight and give Chris Matthews something else to think about.

Now Trump and Christie have a good look together but I don’t see how he helps expand his voting block.

On Rubio and amnesty. Trump could appoint Vicenti Fox as his VP and still win on that issue.

On Cruz, this would help heal wounds in the party but brings nothing else not sure this is enough, and Rubio would do the same.

Rand Paul’s name came up and was my first pick for President for me but he underperformed big time in the spotlight and trump already owns one of his major issues the wars in the middle east.

Kasich gives him help in Ohio and wont hurt Trump in the election, will help in governing, but offers nothing else.

Back to Rubio, first I am not saying I agree with all his policies, I don’t, but this is about winning and stopping Hillary. Having Rubio on board negates all the negative publicity the republican party put out on Trump, putting it out as only politics the real Trump is (right your narrative here). The Hispanics who do swing vote are inclined to rethink their vote. Rubio has performed well in the spotlight no surprises. This could be a huge shift for Trump with Hispanics. Then Trump can focus on whats left, like women voting issues; jobs, safety and and end to war and affordable healthcare. And how Hillary has not.
