Am I correct that Trump thinks Tyson was railroaded? If so, his acceptance of Tyson was appropriate, but he should practice explaining why he thinks Tyson was railroaded. I recall that, according to the anti-male ideology of that time, to accuse was to convict.
Bill Clinton will say everything is untrue about him. Even if Trump believes Tyson was railroaded, if he does not distance himself, it lessens the impact of attacking Bill as rapist and Hillary as rape enabler.
He could frame it that BLACK Tyson did prison time and paid his debt, but WHITE Bill Clinton has still gotten away with it.
Thanks for the advice. I want Trump using the sexual assault issue big time against Hillary. Tyson can certainly endorse, but it would have been better for Trump to pretty much ignore it. It will lessen the impact of the hit he can make against Hillary.
To each his own. I like Trump telling it like he sees it. I do not want him to in any way play the politically correct game. He may lose a few votes sticking to his guns, but in the long run, he will win BIGTIME!

Trump has generally embraced his negatives instead of running from them. Don’t forget that Hillery got a child rapist off. If they hit Trump on Tyson he’ll hit her with that all while his popularity grows with the black vote.
And there’s George P., not at his desk in Texas where he should have been. Texans are getting a raw deal with that guy. Has he found his office yet since leaving daddy’s campaign? He and Cruz may have ended their political careers in this race. I do hope so.
A candidate cannot pick the person who endorses him, they can only thank them for the support and then prepare for the barrage of attacks by his opponents.

The judge in that case denied the testimony of 3 eye witnesses who saw her all over Mike Tyson, kissing and fondling. If true, it makes it one of the first big fake rape cases.

Did she ever get any money? I guess not since he served 3 years. Usually these trumped up rape cases against big name celebrities, it’s all about the money.
Everyone knows Mike Tyson was railroaded. That girl’s testimony was absurd, but the jury was all too happy to swallow it. Tyson is not terribly bright, and had the worst defense team in history, which didn’t help.
If Trump believed Tyson wasn’t convicted of rape, he was wrong.
That said, I remember having a big fight with my family over this conviction at the time. Although I haven’t read the trial transcripts, I did read numerous newspaper accounts. Tyson’s trial was going on at the same time as the rape trial of a nephew of Ted Kennedy. Tyson was convicted, Kennedy’s nephew was not — surprise, surprise! But I thought the verdicts were racially motivated and that they should have been the opposite of how they were decided.
Tyson was accused of rape by a woman who voluntarily went to his hotel room at 1:00 in the morning. They had been drinking. What did she think was going to happen? Woke up the next day and came up with a deep pockets scenario, is my opinion based on the news reports I read at the time. But the wealthy, famous black guy was convicted and spent time in the slam, even though, to my eyes, she asked for it or even planned it.
The Kennedy nephew had taken a woman he met in an upscale lounge to the family compound in Hyannis Port, offering for her to see that famous place and to meet his Uncle Ted, who was there that evening. Later in the evening he asked her if she would like to take a walk on the beach — during which he pulled her down onto the sand, tore at her clothes and forced himself on her. She had documented bruises and scrapes, and complained of sand forced into her vagina and mouth. But the wealthy, famous white guy went free and the woman was further humiliated.
That doesn’t make Trump right in his statement. But I’m just sayin’...
