The coalition of Republicans opposed to Donald J. Trumps candidacy braced Monday for a debilitating setback as he appeared poised for a victory in Indiana that would put him on track to seal the Republican nomination by the time primary voting ends next month.
The Indiana vote has emerged as a decisive and perhaps final test for Senator Ted Cruz, who has abandoned hope of overtaking Mr. Trump in the race but still aims to throw the Republican nominating fight to a contested convention in July. Mr. Cruz, of Texas, has pleaded with Indiana voters in recent days not to anoint Mr. Trump as the partys standard-bearer, and has devised a series of long-shot tactics to derail him in the state.

RIP Levin, Rush and Beck re their lack of influence and impact.
And tomorrow night, as far as I am concerned, Trump WILL BE the nominee.
Made some tactical mistakes, but no serious blunders the whole way.

What did Cruz say last week, “After Indiana, we’ll be picking my cabinet”....
I expect Ted’s financial backers will be reluctant to invest any more money into his flagging campaign. More Beckian layoffs to come for the Cruzian effort.
As we said in the Army, (not to you but to the anti-Trump forces), about Trump winning.
“No Sierra, Sherlock.”
Big money is smart money.
They hit the “Pause” button after NY, and “Eject” after ACELA night.
They have been gone for a week or two.
I hope you come on board as opposed to joining the never trump cabal
Make is so, Indiana.
Beg to differ. Teds blunder was when he took the South for granted
According to Kasich he is the only one who can beat Hillary.
No, but he will. Cruz is done, get over it.
These guys love when Democrats are in charge, it makes them big money!
They got a name for the winners in the world.
I wanna name when I lose.
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide.
Call me teddy cruz.
They know it's over for them.
Every single Monday evening B4 a primary vote, talking heads have predicted, the tally the next night will be the *end* of someone.
{{{sigh}}} ...boring.
I’m still laughing at the Cruznadian bluster after Utah. They breathlessly proclaimed here that it was Donald’s DOWNFALL. Heh.
Admittedly, Cruz has had some successes, but he was thoroughly trounced in the south which was supposed to be his firewall...not much left after that, the northeast, mid-Atlantic, and left coast (jury still out but apparently leaning Trump). Kansas, Iowa, Utah, Wyoming, etc., though beautiful areas and salt of the earth people, are not going to win you the nomination, let alone the WH.
“Mr. Cruz, of Texas, has pleaded with Indiana voters in recent days not to anoint Mr. Trump as the partys standard-bearer”
So this is what the only so-called “true conservative” voice in the race has been reduced to: pleading that the best reason to vote for him is to keep some other guy out.
Pathetic. Truly pathetic.
(And at one point a few months ago, I believed Cruz was the real deal. But boy, has this race exposed what his true character really is, and it is NOT pretty. Not one little bit.)
“The writing was on the wall when Trump reportedly won every congressional district in 5 states last week.”
Heck, I read that Trump won every COUNTY in very one of those 5 states.
