Seriously, he’s gone off the deep end using this type of manipulation will only turn people off more. People on FR used to say this about him when he had his show on Fox. I enjoyed his show then. But, this type of obsession is a wacky.

This is cultish scary. I hope those Cruz supporters here don't believe this. Cruz deceiving/lying over and over again about his opponent is not very Christian at all. I hope his supporters come to realize this.

Bingo. We never were a country with a leaning towards God. If you want to say we went to "Church" more fine. Lots of reasons for that, some not related to guy upstairs. Our supposed golden age 1783-1860...a spiritual time in America, blacks were in bondage by the millions in the South and most whites in the North had no issue with it. People were regularly hung without trial or due process in the American west. We massacred innocent Indians by the 10's of thousands. If that's a godly country, jeez what's an ungodly one?

I try not to dwell in that past, but you are absolutely right! That golden age was anything but godly. Thanks for that reality check.
Even if you look at the golden age that is remembered by the older folks at church and on FR (1950’s-70’s), church attendance for many was just something you did as a minimum to insure that you and your family was acceptable to polite society.
We wonder why there are so many atheists and pagans today. Well, it’s because it has become acceptable to not be a Christian. Same thing for gays, adulterers, and masturbators—no one hides it anymore.
Beck needs serious psychiatric help.
Probably a good start would be a nice padded room in an institution.
