I won’t bash you for trying to be understanding for this poor chap, but I no longer have any understanding within me. I am fed up beyond description with these clowns.
I have lost some good (cyber) friends over the past couple of months over politics, that is unfortunate, but life goes on.
On a side note, I finished getting the tongue & groove knotty pine walls up in our kitchen today, so I am very happy -—it looks great. Now I have a couple more rooms to finish, some with cedar, and it’s going to be like living in a new house around here. ;>)
Personally, I don’t care for Trump. But I am so thankful for what he has done to the GOPe. The neocon opportunists that have infested its leadership for so long are finally on the way out. These are the people who have sold us out. Who have betrayed and sabotaged true conservatives and our principles. The men who started and sent our soldiers to unnecessary wars for profit and influence. Who made trade deals and alliances to benefit their donors. They give our jobs away and support H1B visas because those are jobs that nobody wants. They are ok with genocide against Christians in the middle east as long as ports and pipelines fall to the right people. They would rather sabotage their own Tea Party candidates and lose the senate than have them elected and change the demographics of the party. They are the men that feign outrage against proposed democrat laws yet once in power do nothing to repeal or reform tham. Yes, they need to go.
I really don’t care who wins as long as they are gone.
Do me a favor...don’t screw up the rest of us and the country just because you’re throwing a tantrum. I get it...you wanted Cruz, he was the only “true” conservative, principled, “groomed” for the part...well, there’s only one problem...the majority of Republican voters thus far (and it is a record number) have voted against him.
Don’t take this lightly...there’s a reason so many have voted for Trump and against Cruz. Sure, there’s the celebrity factor and cult of personality and all that...but there’s something more...intangible...Cruz oozes hi-brow Republican politician/insider, something he says he is the antithesis to...however, people are seeing through it. Trump, for all his faults, and Lord knows there’s many, is touching a nerve that is running through the whole country now. So, don’t screw up the rest of us because you’re guy isn’t resonating.
Look at it this way, Ted is good enough at what he does that he may still steal the election.

I agree. But I think Trump will put an end to the immigration issue and give us more conservative Supreme Court justices. Hillary says she would like to appoint Obama. So I will vote for Trump if the alternative is Hillary. But I won’t like it. And I think he will probably lose anyway.

But you might want to rethink your belief that Ted Cruz is a conservative overall. Anybody who wants to institute a VAT tax is not a conservative.

Trump is sincere and trustworthy when he says America first. His foreign policies vis-a-vis China, Japan, Korea,Nato, Mexico all make sense. It is clear beyond any doubt that he is anti-establishment and all the corruption that goes with it.
If you still feel inclined toward Clinton, you may really be a liberal at heart and kidded yourself all these years that you are a Republican. It happens.
