Also: Winston Churchill was every bit as much a Natural Born Citizen as Ted Cruz. Churchill’s mother was also a US citizen. In Churchill's case, he wasn't even a US citizen ( let alone natural born ). Prior to 1934, U.S. citizen mothers were not permitted to transmit U.S. citizenship to their children born abroad.
