Even as they castigate Mr. Obama, the neocons may be preparing a more brazen feat: aligning themselves with Hillary Rodham Clinton and her nascent presidential campaign, in a bid to return to the drivers seat of American foreign policy.

I’ve been pimping a Clinton/Kasich 2016 national unity ticket for a couple of weeks. I think that there is a fundamental political realignment going on
Very interesting. How deep the rabbit hole?
All five of them?
Famous bank robber William Francis Sutton, jr. Is credited at least with this famous answer — when a reporter asked him why he robbed banks, he may have replied, “because that’s where the money is.” Today, if it were only possible to get one honest statement out of Hillary, she’d surely give this same reason for her political “career”.
It isn't surprising that to some extent many neocons and so-called moderates are in the early stages of doing exactly that.
But what was unexpected is that many who trumpeted their hard core conservatism are working against Trump in ways that can only help Hillary.
The mask is dropping for many and they are sacrificing their credibility in in the heat of the moment.
I said the same they much rather team up with hilldbeast who will keep thier criminal crumbs obama dropped coming. We now see thier true colors
I hypothesized a Jeb/Hillary matchup sometime last year.
“I think that there is a fundamental political realignment going on”
I agree. I think it began with the collapse of the Warsaw Pact and the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Relative prosperity and stability has prolonged the elitists in the West. We are seeing collapse of the post-WWII order and the rejection of its jaded ideologies of kinder, gentler transnational oppression and manipulation.
Thanks but trying to learn about politics from the n y t is like trying to learn about God from the Koran
So Max Boot think’s Clinton was a voice of reason trying to establish sound policies . . . like LIBYA???
You can’t make this stuff up.
The pukeneos need a war.....they are probably desperate for money....war profiteering is a trillion dollar income for the pukes.
I guess puke godfather Richard Perle’s plan to start an oil company w/ his Iraq profiteering musta hit a rough patch.....what w/ oil prices falling.
Indeed. Anyone trying to make this stuff up would be Taken into Bedlam for “observation”
I’d have to say her answer would be “that’s where the money and power are”.
One of the most traitorous Neo Cons was John Bolton. He is trying to hide that now like a German soldier in Argentina. I urge Donald to totally reject him as Secretary of State.I personally urge Senator Sessions as secretary of State to start tearing foreign asses off.
What great news! I have been hoping for a long time now that we can replace our neo-conservative globalists with the remaining patriotic, hardworking, reasonable, pro-America Democrats. Now the Dems can be the party of unnecessary wars and dissolving national sovereignty, and we can be the party of putting this country and its interests and citizens first and foremost.
I’m fine with globalization ... as long as we’re the ones doing the globalizing.
It is because of the neocons that Russia is becoming an enemy again. After the Soviet collapse, Russia was extremely pro-America, and wanted even to join NATO. Neocons froze them out. The only reason I can see for that is that if we got along too well with the Russians, we would have no enemies, and would have no reason to spend gigantic gobs of money on defense.
This is exactly who is behind the stop Trump initiative in the GOP. Google Neocon and discover that most of their founders were campus radicals and members of SDS back in the 60’s and early 70’s. They are oligarchs and, as such, stand for everything this nation fought its Revolutionary War against. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbEu-OLMKLQ
Why would the neocons be willing to give aid and comfort to the enemy to stop Trump?!?
