Marco Rubio appears to be warming up to Donald Trump, saying Friday his performance has improved significantly." Rubio has also continued to withhold an endorsement of Ted Cruz, even though he previously praised him as the conservative in the race.
Last Sunday on Univision Rubio said it appeared Trump will lock down the nomination.
"If he keeps winning delegates like he did the other night in New York, I think he's going to reach that number," Rubio said on Al Punto Florida. "But let's see. There are still other states to go."
And Rubio, who continues to hold onto more than 100 delegates, has warned against a contested convention.
Look lets not divide the party. You have someone here who has all these votes, very close to get 1237, lets not ignore the will of the people or theyre going to be angry. Delegates may decide on that reason that they decide to vote for Donald Trump but if they dont its not illegitimate in any way, he told Miami radio host Jimmy Cefalo.
Ive always said Im going to support the Republican nominee, and thats especially true now that its apparent that Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat nominee, Rubio said.

Marco is my senator. He won’t be after the next election.
If Rubio doesn’t release his delegates before June 7th and NJ and CA, Trump will have the 1237 with a big margin already and Rubio will have no place.
I am expecting Trump to get at least 40 out of Indiana, then most of Nebraska and WV on May 10th. At that point, he may be within 1237 if Rubio’s delegates are released and flock to Trump. That would be something to bring Rubio back into the game — being the guy who magnanimously encouraged his delegates to support the unity of the party and avoid a contested convention.
If he waits for NJ and CA on June 7th, he will have lost that opportunity at the limelight. If he acts before June 7th, he can get himself a cabinet spot or National Security Advisor.
