Friday, April 29, 2016: Live stream of Donald Trumps keynote speech at the California Republican Party Conventions Kickoff Lunch Banquet in San Francisco, CA. Mr. Trump is scheduled to speak at 12:00 PM PDT.
No rallies today just the keynote speech @ 4pm EDT.
Well, let’s see.....first, he hasn’t won yet. He’s on the way to winning, but it’s not official. Until it’s official, anything can happen.
Second, just because someone is a winner, and different from everyone else, doesn’t make them the right person. I mean, Hillary is winning, but we don’t want to back her, right? Obama was a winner, too.
Hopefully there’s no topless protesters today.
Some of the establishment Republicans are still in denial about Trump. This has shaken them to their very core and they are clinging to the hope, increasingly slim, that a way will be found to deny Trump the nomination. This is a nightmare and an utter catastrophe for the establishment GOPe.
It is for them like this: Imagine you work for a company and have spent your entire career there learning the system and having connections with everybody up to the CEO. Most of the people in the company are mediocre and thus you feel your position in the company is secure and you can just maintain your position and stay on cruise control until retirement. Your company is a distant number 2 in your industry but you don’t mind. No pressure, no worries. Just show up and you are assured of a comfortable and secure job with no heavy lifting.
Then one morning you come to work and find out your CEO just got fired. The incoming CEO has a reputation as a hard-nosed businessman who has no toleration for mediocrity and slackers. He promises to make your company number one in the industry and vows to clean house and bring in top talent from the outside.
Suddenly your whole comfortable little world is turned upside down and you begin to panic about what lies ahead. Further you worry that the new CEO will realize that you are deadweight and have been mailing it in all these years. Your position is in real jeopardy. You wish this was a bad dream and that you will wake up to the way things were before.
This is what the establishment GOPe is going through right now. The jig is up.
You make a good case for term limits.
I think Trump will leave the office better than when he found it.
I think he looks at everything. Term limits. Fresh faces. Best minds.
I kinda see it different from you. I think people get complacent, then a guy comes in, and brings the best out of you. He fires the ones that aren’t performing...and things take off.
I think this country is mired in mediocrity in our politics, but it can turm around fast.
Trump can deliver. Bobby Knight was wonderful yesterday.
I can picture Cruz ending up in robe and slippers, leafing thru his scrapbook, and holding cabinet meetings with his stuffed animals.
I have heard a rumor that Trump will be at Purdue University in the coming days? Can anyone confirm that?
Dieting, I see.
Why yes. Yes, I am. ;-)
That is so colorful. Thanks.
“I am quite sure, Hillary will choose a woman.’
Actually I think Hillary chooses Kasich as a national unity ticket against Trump
San Fran - it’s a weird place to find Republicans!
I’ve noticed you get a guy or gal in front of a camera, and if they’re lying or not committed to what they’re saying, they blink. Carli Fiorina, is a pretty good case in point. When she’s talking on topics, like the economy, or perhaps things where she has a conviction... she stares...blinks occasionally. When she’s not speaking with conviction, IMO, she blinks like strobe light.
Check this out:

If you look at body language, she is blinking blinking blinking....meaning lying..lying lying....
Now look at this... where she is talking about free enterprise...clearly she is speaking with conviction...
Good morning Lysie and all
In case anyone missed it, Trump was on BOR last night - here are the 2 videos:
All I see on his schedule is Fort Wayne on Sunday and South Bend on Monday.
Hi Nikos,
A thread on the protesters last night.
This one has a few vids embedded, including one of the agitators doing the Macarena and the guy doing donuts:

The GOP CANT BE TRUSTED. Trust these snakes at your own peril. Despite a growing outward “acceptance” of Trump as the nominee (e.g., Boehner’s recent Lucifer comments), that may be designed to get us to stay home in July instead of making a road trip to Cleveland. I suspect the plan is to pull something on the convention floor with the bribed delegates who put money before country.
About the only way that horrific scenario could be prevented would be to have enough of us show up in Cleveland all week to make them stand down and change their plans. And they know that.
If this is true, the size and (peaceful but forceful) volume of our crowd outside the Cleveland convention may be even MORE important than that group of people who banged on the door in Florida when the Dems were trying to “recount the hanging chads” behind closed doors.
Good Morning lyeie. Nice breakfast.
Good morning, SC. Thanks for those links.
Good morning, till. You are welcome.
