BOEHNER LIKES TRUMP, SAVAGES CRUZ
The Republican establishment is getting jiggy with the idea of nominating Donald Trump.
How jiggy? Former House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday told a crowd at Stanford University that he was texting buddies with the celebrity businessman and would have no trouble voting for him in the fall.
According to the schools student newspaper, Boehner accepted Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee, though he declined to endorse Trumps specific policies.
As for the remaining obstacle to Trumps takeover of the GOP, Boehner sounded rather Trump-like himself.
Lucifer in the flesh, the former speaker said of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.

You cannot stop talking about trump’s tush can you? That is so log cabin pubbie.
Irony = Floridian remarking on the junior Senator from Texas. Stick to your own state, my dear.
We will no longer surrender this country or its people to the false song of globalism.
Donald Trump
Not sure how it can have failed since it hasn't been tried by the Republican party for three decades.
His comments will leave a mark.
Nah, I’m voting for Cruz because I think he’s the better, more conservative candidate. It’s over, though. The Donald is coasting to the nomination. There’s not going to be a contested convention. Does that mean that I can’t cast a protest vote in the primary? I voted for Santorum instead of Romney in the ‘12 primary. More or less the same thing here.
I LOVE IT!!!
Praise the Lord, we finally...finally have somebody who is for us!
Not sure how it can have failed since it hasn’t been tried by the Republican party for three decades.

Conservatism has failed in the sense that it has not figured out how to win and get the upper hand. Conservatism is getting clobbered. Look at Cruz.
Conservatism is simply not doing a good sales job. Saying people have to try it and give it a chance is ridiculous.
Conservatism has to earn people’s business and it is failing at that. The day conservatives figure out how they will win.
If conservatism is so good let Limbaugh and Levin run for office and show us how it is done instead of lecturing everyone from their safe places! Funny! They won’t do that will they? They simply cannot win outside of their safe zones.
the fat orange crying guy sings?
:-)
his foreign policy advisor Walid Phares appeared on PBS a couple of evenings ago.
I don’t usually watch PBS but all prior times that I did, they were just interviewing each other about how Trump did not have any chance or how much one or another of his proposals were flawed.
So, I just about fell off of the sofa. He was paired with an ambassador who just sat there and recited the party line, mostly consisting of “we are in power and you are not” and “don’t take a chance with the unknown” type of canned logic, in response to any of the points that phares brought up. but it was interesting that PBS finally has to take trump seriously now. and phares seemed to hold his own on sound bite delivery and sounding credible imho.
If you are voting for Cruz, you are voting for a contested convention, because any Cruz victory anywhere cannot result in anything else.
Conservatives really need to play a bit smarter.
Put the nomination in the GOP’s hands, and you could end up with Mitt Romney again.
And there are still those who deny that FreeRepublic has become a post-conservative site.
I will remain a conservative because I have firm convictions that it is a political ideology both morally valid and practical in providing the maximum amount of personal liberty and societal benefit possible.
Those who once shared that belief but have now abandoned it, not for a better reasoned and more noble ideology, but for the disjointed and completely contradictory ramblings of a single man, have not undergone a political awakening. They have replaced their political ideology with the quasi-religious fundamentalist sanctuary of a cult. They seek succor not liberty. They are children.
Our junior senator, Marco Rubio, had the good sense to bow out of the race when it was no longer winnable. For all his faults, he at least had honor and integrity, traits Cruz could use to learn.
Until Trump reaches 1237, it's still winnable for Cruz and others, in a contested convention.
Besides, give Californians a chance to have their votes count for the first time in decades.
and add an e.
whose
More like, which side is the butter on?
That was my original plan. Vote Cruz in California primary and then vote for the nominee in November.
Not any more. Now I want Trump to get as many votes in California as possible. Cruz is no longer viable for me.
In the past I have voted many times (and held my nose) for the Republican. I don’t know if I can if Cruz is the nominee.
I'm sure Bonehead will vote for Hillary... she'll agree to keep his dark secrets hidden along with Obama's secrets.
