Cruz and allies have five days to stop Trump
When Ted Cruz unveiled Carly Fiorina as his running mate on Wednesday, and when he struck that alliance/truce with John Kasich on Sunday night, they were from a position of weakness not strength. The reason: If Cruz and the Stop Trump movement dont win in Indiana on May 3, theyre done. Its that simple. After Trump ran the table in Tuesdays primaries, including getting at least 35 of the 54 Pennsylvania unbound delegates (and that number could go above 40), a win in Indiana even by a single point would put him on a glide path to 1,237 delegates. So those are the big stakes for next weeks primary in the Hoosier State. But you have to give the Cruz campaign credit: Given that must-win situation, theyre trying every trick in the book (early VP pick, alliance) to win. But when you throw that Hail Mary and the pass falls incomplete, the game is usually over.
How Trump can get shut out of Indiana but still get to 1,237
But heres the thing: Even if Trump gets shut out in Indiana, he still has a viable path to 1,237. Trump is currently sitting at 991 delegates after Tuesday. Now consider the following contests:
Indiana: 0/57 Nebraska: 0/36 West Virginia: 34/34 Oregon: 14/28 Washington: 22/44 California: 120/172 Montana: 0/27 New Jersey: 51/51 New Mexico: 10/24 South Dakota: 0/29
So if you add up those numbers with Trumps current delegate haul, you get 1,242 five more delegates than the 1,237 he needs for a majority on the first ballot. Heres the current delegate math:
Trump holds a 427-delegate lead over Cruz

It was over since Super Tuesday. This is just the GOPe running hail mary defense plays against Trump.
Five days left? I think that’s pretty generous given their goose is already cooked.
Cruz just now was introducing Carly saying how qualified she is to bring back jobs. Then to top it off he said “look I know everyone is frustrated by politicians”
Bwahahahahaha
They had 5 states to stop Trump and they lost everyone of them, badly!-)
Go Trump Go!
This is just the GOPe running hail mary defense
That’s Funny, I see Cruz picking Fiorina as a way to LOSE GRACEFULLY and still keep face.
GAME OVER
INSERT COIN
When people declare a VP ticket ahead of time before they need to - or declare they are running and will only serve one term, etc - those are old fashioned desperation gimmicks of a losing campaign.
Trump is almost at 1,000 delegates, McCain got 145 out of CA alone, Trump should get at least that and NJ is another 50.
That means Trump starts with 1200 before we factor in NM, OR and Indiana.
In Indiana before the 5 landslide victory past Tuesday, Trump was up 5 percent. So, I think he gets a bump from the huge victory, and Cruz getting 0 zero delegates that night.
Then there is the Bobby Knight campaign endorsement and the rallies Coach Knight is doing with Trump yesterday and today.
Also, Trump is getting rave reviews from Newt and others on his Foreign Policy speech yesterday.
I expect Trump will have a double digit lead by the end of the weekend.
One thing that Carly added is that Cruz was big for a 500 percent H1B visa increase, then flipped flopped and Carly was a very big proponent of H1B too. This won’t help him in California.
Ted won’t leave the stage... like a failing Gong Show contestant... time for the hook to drag his crazy arse offstage.
1) Trump may end up with all but one or two of PA’s 54
2) He will get far more than 120 in CA. I’m hearing 140-150.
The largest donation to the Fiorina super PAC close to $1.6 million came from Jerry Perenchio, the former CEO of Univision and national finance co-chairman for John McCains 2008 presidential campaign with deep ties to California. http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/31/politics/carly-fiorina-super-pac/
Someone sent me this? did you guys know this?
You have to know by now that NR/NRO is the biggest “neverTrump” troll site ever invented. Jonah Goldberg, Jim Geraghty, all they do is write anti-Trump stuff five times a day . . . each.
That is good to know.
Check this out (someone sent me this):

But some people are so hyper-sensitive, so emotionally unstable, that they can't tolerate any negative comment at all about their candidates. The fact that NR let's these people police their website is appalling.

I suggest you were not banned for being a troll an d upsetting any one's feelings - you were banned for telling the truth and the National Review is looking to weed out anyone who seems "defeatist" even of their guys are losing. The National Interest came out against Trump on behalf of the Republican establishment and is doing work against Trump including preventing people from mentioning reality or banning people for deviating against their message.
