AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do — host. Get ready to what you were born to do — listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

Remember that time Rush got into trouble with U.S. Customs in Florida for bringing Viagra into the country from the Dominican Republic?

Rush doesn’t need Viagra anymore.....all he has to do is look at a picture of Ted Cruz!

“Rush doesn’t just have a pro-Cruz agenda, he’s lazy too! I don’t think he does any research on his own anymore.”

Or its something ELSE. And if it is something else, what is it???

I maintain that outlets like FOX News LIE by omission, by what they DON’T tell you.

Could Rush be doing the same, on purpose???

A hat tip to relictele, I cribbed the insight from his:

“Social pressure is like air pressure...you don’t notice it’s there. Rush moves in circles in which nearly everyone is an elite therefore an elitist. They may not be liberal in the sense of Bernie Sanders supporters but the status quo has been of great benefit to them and any challenge to the status quo is targeted for destruction via the usual sneering. Rush likes to pretend he’s the white knight jousting with these people everywhere he goes but one cannot exist for decades in a social circle without being influenced - however subtly - by that social circle.”

At one point Rush kind of made a little slam about the hotel business—”The hotel business isn’t over-regulated.”

Maybe not, but the construction trades most certainly are over-regulated, Rush, and to arrogantly assume that Trump doesn’t know all about over-regulation and its deleterious effects on business is laughable.

Great catch Cruz’s evangelical speeches that he learned from Glen Beck are so disingenuous and creepy. He must think he’s Beck’s brother or something, both talk like midwest 1930’s on the road preachers and both are totally full of sh_t.

Somebody must be watching FR to remind him of Harley-Davidson and Reagan.

To other folks, he has indeed spoken about over regulation. Perhaps not as much as we like but when you’re being hammered daily on why you’re mean to Megan Kelly, it’s hard to get the facts out.

We are losing companies to offshore locations because of federal regulations that make it impossible for them to thrive.

That is the corporate party line but it is really propaganda to cover the real issue which is labor arbitration across international borders. Complaining about regulations and taxes are the political cover for off shoring. You have to watch BOTH hands of the magician to know what is going on.

He purposely picked the hotel business. I like Rush but he runs a small business and Trump runs a massive business so I doubt Trump is a dummy on regulations. Disingenuous.

I think we are finally seeing Rush unravel. He was never good at criticizing establishment Republicans. Now we find out the guy is senile.

I believe the term you mean is “labor arbitrage”:

‘Global labor arbitrage is an economic phenomenon where, as a result of the removal of or disintegration of barriers to international trade, jobs move to nations where labor and the cost of doing business (such as environmental regulations) is inexpensive, and/or impoverished labor moves to nations with higher paying jobs ...

Big Cap Corporation LOVE regulations because it keeps the up start riff-raff put of the market.

As far as unionism goes in the manufacturing sector the participation rate is 10% and falling.

Also, Trump must be an absolute zoning expert because of 40 years of building in NYC. And isn’t zoning a form of regulation??

That’s for sure. He still gets his pay and great benefits, and so does Bernie.

Weren’t tariffs the main means of income to the government before the Income Tax?

The 1924 Republican Party Platform:

The Tariff

We reaffirm our belief in the protective tariff to extend needed protection to our productive industries. We believe in protection as a national policy, with due and equal regard to all sections and to all classes. It is only by adherence to such a policy that the well being of the consumers can be safeguarded that there can be assured to American agriculture, to American labor and to American manufacturers a return to perpetrate American standards of life. A protective tariff is designed to support the high American economic level of life for the average family and to prevent a lowering to the levels of economic life prevailing in other lands.

In the history of the nation the protective tariff system has ever justified itself by restoring confidence, promoting industrial activity and employment, enormously increasing our purchasing power and bringing increased prosperity to all our people.

The tariff protection to our industry works for increased consumption of domestic agricultural products by an employed population instead of one unable to purchase the necessities of life. Without the strict maintenance of the tariff principle our farmers will need always to compete with cheap lands and cheap labor abroad and with lower standards of living.

The enormous value of the protective principle has once more been demonstrated by the emergency tariff act of 1921 and the tariff act of 1922.

We assert our belief in the elastic provision adopted by congress in the tariff act of 1922 providing for a method of readjusting the tariff rates and the classifications in order to meet changing economic conditions when such changed conditions are brought to the attention of the president by complaint or application.

We believe that the power to increase or decrease any rate of duty provided in the tariff furnishes a safeguard on the one hand against excessive taxes and on the other hand against too high customs charges.

The wise provisions of this section of the tariff act afford ample opportunity for tariff duties to be adjusted after a hearing in order that they may cover the actual differences in the cost of production in the United States and the principal competing countries of the world.

We also believe that the application of this provision of the tariff act will contribute to business stability by making unnecessary general disturbances which are usually incident to general tariff revisions.

You are undoubtedly right.
I think we all need to give the Donald a little time in the office for him to see what is actually going on and they take a better look at what action he actually does.it has to be hard for him to decide what actions he will take before he even gets in office,we are voting for trump based on his excellence in capitalism which is what he has accomplished so far.
I'm quite sure we will see a lot of changes to issues that he will reevaluate once he gets his feet wet.
You gotta remember this guy has not spent one day in office. I think once he sees what is going on he will make the right call.
If I have the choice between the Donald making a call and hillary its really no choice for me.
