After Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas failed Wednesday in a bid to restrict President Obamas nuclear deal with Iran, the White House decided to give the lawmaker a kick in the pants for good measure.
Referring to Mr. Cottons amendment to stop the U.S. from purchasing heavy water used by Iran in nuclear production, White House press secretary said, Senator Cotton is certainly no expert when it comes to heavy water. Im confident that he couldnt differentiate heavy water from sparkling water.
He said Mr. Cotton is focused on undermining the effective implementation of this agreement that prevents Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
Mr. Cottons amendment would have barred the use of funds to purchase heavy water produced in Iran. Senate Democrats blocked a spending bill on water and energy programs over the amendment, voting 50-46 against ending debate on the bill.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
..Senator Cotton is certainly no expert when it comes to heavy water...
Obama only knows about heavy water when there is Scotch in it.
Obama only knows about heavy water when there is Scotch in it.
The only thing obama is an expert in has fudge in it.
‘Senator Cotton is certainly no expert when it comes to heavy water. Im confident that he couldnt differentiate heavy water from sparkling water’
But Mr ‘Earnest’ and Mr Obama COULD differentiate heavy water from sparkling water??? Hahahahahahahahahaha.....yeah, right .
Hmmm. We were told there is nothing that can be done to oppose Obama. Now all of the sudden we see opposition and low and behold one senator is enough to derail Obama. Somebody been lyin’
Again, it simply proves my point that obama is an expert in fudge, in this case he is once again attempting to dump it on the American people.
...when there is Ripple or Colt45 in it.
It was Corker that proposed the deal that got the US into the mess to begin with.
Corker introduced the legislation that made it necessary for 2/3’s of Congress to override a Presidential veto of the deal rather than have the President achieve 2/3’s consent of the US Senate to sign a treaty.
Cotton was the only US Senator that voted no on the deal because he thought it should be a treaty, not legislation.
I was horrified to see Jeff Sessions vote yes on it but I think he figured it could be amended, changed, done over if it was legislation whereas it would be very difficult to change a treaty.
In any event, the Iran deal will be one of the first targets of President Trump to get straightened out.
Obamaic smoke and mirrors. That the Iranians even have heavy water means they’re well along in their nuclear weapons program.
Do it, Israel.
Let them try drinking it for several days. Not poisonous exactly, but biology doesn’t carry-on as usual. Actually grinds to a halt, or more accurately calls in an artillery barrage on itself, thinking it’s compromised (as in cancer). Sort of an auto-immune response at the individual cellular level.
