This Is the Donald Trump That Could Win 40 States
Brietbart ^ | 27 Apr 2016 | Virgil

Donald Trump is two for two with teleprompter-ed speeches. That is, he is batting 1000 with remarks that are carefully prepared and delivered. So for his sake, he should keep it up. And if he does, he can win the Republican nomination in July and the general election in November—by carrying 40 states.

Trump’s speech today to the Center for the National Interest (CFTNI), an old-line “realist” think tank in DC, was well received. CFTNI was once known as the Nixon Center, as in, the 37th president, and it still includes on its board such legendary Nixon foreign-policy hands as Henry Kissinger.

Not surprisingly, Trump’s hard-nosed policy ideas were a tonic to grizzled Nixonian realpolitikers. Yet at the same time, his ideas were cheering to a younger generation, weary of the endless wars-for-democracy of the Bush 43 administration, as well as the foolishly sovereignty-smiting policies of the Clinton and Obama administrations.

Indeed, in choosing to speak before CFTNI, as opposed to, say, AEI or Heritage, Trump was sending a clear signal to the neocons who dominated the Bush 43 administration: Your days of costly nation-building are done. (And yet interestingly, Trump was introduced by Zalmay Khalilzad, Bush 43’s ambassador to the United Nations.)

So when Trump puts his mind to it, he can be not only entertaining but also effective. His CFTNI speech, on top of his March 21 speech to the America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), proves that Trump can operate smoothly at the presidential level.

In his 38-minute address, Trump got right down to it: “It’s time to shake the rust off America’s foreign policy. It’s time to invite new voices and new visions into the fold, something we have to do.”

According to Red State, GOP has collected 24,000,000, while the Democrats have 21,000,000 during this primary season. That’s a 54-46 advantage. I see it expanding.

We have to factor in the male vote in this country that is not being accurately reported. A lot of men are saying “I don’t know anyone who will vote for that bi*** “ and they’re encouraging their women and female friends to be of that opinion too.

So you’re a Hillary fan as well as a Mike Trout fan?

Trout fan? Yes

Hillary fan? No

Please spare me the “you support Hillary” crap. I see things as they are. I believe taht 20 or 30 years ago, she has no chance. But this is a dumbed down nation now and she will be tough to beat because at least 48% of the population will vote for just because she is a Democrat. Her corruption and lies don’t matter to them.

If we, or Trump, takes her lightly, she will win.

Are you claiming that Trump is like Obama?

If so, you are out of your mind!

It is Teddy Cruz, who is most like Obama, in almost every way possible !

So stop trashing Trump, who is our presumptive nominee; not Teddy the LOSER!

Where did you get that map from?

If that's the a guesstimate of Trump V. Hillary, it is SO damned wrong, it's laughable and YOU are a moron and a TROLL!

Trump will take Florida, Pa., and surprise, surprise, N.Y and N.J.! He just may take some of the New England states as well.

My biggest fear is that he'll come out and start talking about "his good friends" Hillary and Bill Clinton once he gets the nomination.

If that's all you have to worry about, it's going to be an excellent year.

Trump will get N.Y., N.J. possibly N.H., Mass. Ct., R.I. and yes,a pretty good outside shot at Pa. ! WHY? Because she isn't Obama and the blacks don't like her all that much and some hate her.

Yes, Va. is lost, but Florida and Ohio are Trump's.

Just WHERE are you getting the crap, you posted, from, anyway?

Trump against Hillary? Is Trump still in the race???...I had heard that he had said something outrageous and was about to implode dozens of times. I heard his opponents had all the momentum in the primaries. I heard his ceiling in the primary was 25%, er 30%, er 35%, er 40%, er 45%...I heard he is a joke and idiot and couldn't possibly last more than a month...er two months...er three months...

Oh you mean the Trump nay-sayers have been wrong about im again and again and again and again and again? Hmmm, ok...well what is that the map is showing? Hillary automatically starts one electoral vote from victory...oh, Ok, let me take this seriously.

An uncanny resemblance to another political operative.. Who gave dreamy speeches, but couldn't do um, shit, if he didn't, um, have his TOTUS!

Really?

Never held a private sector job, graduated from Harvard, constitutional scholar, lawyer, junior senator, foreign born, hides his real name, hid his nationality during his senate run, repeatedly failed to vote as senator, and immediately began seeking the office of president once elected. He is also the anointed one.

Just admit it...you actually don't know ANYTHING whatsoever about today's political scene.

Where do you get your news from....Rush, Levin, National Review, REDSTATE, Cruz headquarters?

“Enormously trollish. Welcome to FR, since the beginning of the 2016 campaign - July 2015.”

Methinks you are right Eccl. Angels27 seems to have showed up at the beginning of the campaign for the express purpose of attacking Trump:

He posted: “The thought of 4 years of listening to this kind of garbage from Trump and his minions makes me ill.”

And now denigrating his supposed own candidate, Cruz:

“But he has since disappointed me to the point I don’t have confidence or trust in him anymore.”

What better way to encourage Hillary supporters and demoralize Republicans than to put down all the Republicans running while posting graphics showing why a Hillary win is 100% certain.

Anyone who saw his earlier excellent speech at AIPAC...

Your idea that Hillary has all those states “in the bag” is just silly. She might win them, but nowhere close to that many states are cinches at this point.

Trump needs all three of Ohio, Florida and Virginia and then one additional one out of several other “Clinton” states including New Hampshire, Colorado, Nevada or Iowa. If Trump picks off a Michigan or Pennsylvania, Hillary has zero chance of winning.

Very tough sledding for Trump, but possible.

I think only three states are truly "swing states" (MI, OH, FL). Hillary just needs one to win. Trump must get all three.

NH and PA are swing states and Trump will win them.
