Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz has tapped former technology executive Carly Fiorina as his running mate in the race for the White House.
The Texas senator plans to formally unveil his pick for vice president Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis.
That's according to a Republican with direct knowledge of the plan, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized speak before the official announcement.
Cruz is trying to generate momentum for his struggling campaign. GOP front-runner Donald Trump swept primaries in five Northeastern states on Tuesday.
Cruz has been mathematically eliminated from winning enough delegates to clinch the Republican presidential nomination before primary voting ends.
But he's pushing to claim the nomination at a contested national convention in July.
The 61-year-old Fiorina endorsed Cruz earlier in the year after abandoning her own presidential bid. The former chief executive at Hewlett-Packard has never held elected office.

What a delusional jerk. This shows why his fellow congressmen don’t like him. Who does this?

This is more disturbing than anyone thinks, it strongly suggests that Cuban-Canadian dipshit is delusional:
He has been mathematically eliminated.
He was totally wiped out in yesterday's primary contests.
He has NO path to the nomination, none whatsoever.

What impressed me about Fiorina is her deep grasp of foreign policy and her pro-life stance, which is unlike that of most people in CA. She even defended Santorum when one of the others questioned Santorum’s pro-life record. Of course, the selection is , as Ted is totally finished and has been for weeks.

Hadn’t thought of that, but your reaction was right on target.
We hate her more than the rest of the nation.
Thank heaven this will be short lived.
Ted is about to sink over his chin it it.

I say it could be a calculated move by his GOPe buddies - to an ‘oops we tried but lost’ rigged game for Hillary Clinton after they try to steal the nomination from Trump.
But then, I wear the tinfoil hat, so.......

He said earlier that his announcement was very important, that it would be news worldwide...
He would make news by not losing 5 primaries last night.
He would make news by not coming in third place in 4 out of 5 primaries last night
Who he picks for his vp would be important if he ever had a legitimate chance of being the president of the United States in this election...which he doesn't.
No wonder ted thinks fiorina will help him get someplace, everyone's been marking ted on a curve-giving him trophies he hasn't won.
For a supposedly smart man, he just doesn't seem to have a lick of common sense.
To: TangledUpInBlue
Just another reason I’ll never vote for him ever. Trump 2016

Well, maybe. I think they’re so desperate they probably got turned down by Hillary, taking Ted on as her V.P.

I hope Californians are up to speed on iCarly and HP. I imagine many of them are.In what should have been a cakewalk senatorial campaign, she lost. So I'd say California is more than up to speed on iCarly. We've rejected her once, rejecting her again will be easy.
