For the past few weeks, Republican campaign professionals and conservatives who are seeing the GOP nomination heading into Donald Trumps hands have been counseling anti-Trump voters not to panic and consoling themselves with the notion that things will turn around for Ted Cruz when the final weeks of the campaign shift to the Midwest and mountain states.
After Trumps astounding five-for-five primary night, by margins that were likely surprising even for Trump fans, its now Indiana or bust. If Trump wins the primary next week in the Hoosier State, Cruz is toast and Trump will almost certainly be the Republican nominee.
Theres no putting lipstick on this pig. Cruzs numbers Tuesday night, like his numbers in New York last week, were beyond horrible. With six weeks to go before voting concludes, the man conservatives are hoping can overcome Trump with his clever delegate game and more serious mien is getting 10 to 15 percent of the vote in major states.
It isnt only that the not-Trump vote is failing to coalesce around Cruz hes going backward.
And people are kidding themselves if they think Tuesday nights results wont have an effect on voters in Indiana and elsewhere.

I don’t remember the Wisconsin process. If it was a primary, then I think the state Republican party should honor it’s obligation, to Cruz, the winner.
If it was a caucus state, then Cruz gets as good as he gave.
The important thing is that there be an open process, and that rules are followed.
My goal has never been to be unfair to Cruz. It was to demand he be fair to others and participate in processes that were honorable and above board.
“As long as Cruz and his crew are in the race, he should be viewed as an opponent with questionable motives. And this opponent clearly has bad intent if he remains a contender. Otherwise he wouldn’t stay in a race he can’t win. I’m confident Trump feels sees it this way too.” - dragnet2
If Cruz loses Indiana will he drop out of the race?
Exactly. Cruz has not dropped out. In fact, he refuses to drop out. He is fair game and I will proceed in posting relevant articles.
Thank you, COBOL2Java.
That was an incredible speech. Every point a home run.

If Trump has the numbers then he can win on the first ballot.
The key is get Trump those numbers.
Take care and keep plugging away.
Tedddaaaaa!

The only one I heard was how he pronounced Tanzania. However, I remember it being pronounced that way in the 70s and 80s, before everyone started having to pronounce things the way locals say them. They’ll probably ridicule him for that one. Better vote Cruz now.
There was a time when that was possible, but now we won't stop until we drive a maple stake through his Canadian heart.
I can’t imagine how embarrassing it must be to be locked in as a Cruz delegate. Stuff like that could ruin your good reputation back home.
LOL at your tagline.
I agree that the importance of Indiana has been exaggerated.
He’s trying to change the narrative of him being beaten badly last night. Won’t work. He is out of contention for the nomination. And Fiorina is not a good pick at all.
I agree completely with you on all this. Cruz lost big last night. The only narrative is...Cruz you Lose!

You were the first to notice and make mention of it.
Right On! Geesh Teddie. You are young. You can mend things IF you get out now & quit embarrassing yourself. As it looks now little Marco is taking the high road & will have a future in politics. Now about Kasich, he's just a POS.
