For the past few weeks, Republican campaign professionals and conservatives who are seeing the GOP nomination heading into Donald Trumps hands have been counseling anti-Trump voters not to panic and consoling themselves with the notion that things will turn around for Ted Cruz when the final weeks of the campaign shift to the Midwest and mountain states.
After Trumps astounding five-for-five primary night, by margins that were likely surprising even for Trump fans, its now Indiana or bust. If Trump wins the primary next week in the Hoosier State, Cruz is toast and Trump will almost certainly be the Republican nominee.
Theres no putting lipstick on this pig. Cruzs numbers Tuesday night, like his numbers in New York last week, were beyond horrible. With six weeks to go before voting concludes, the man conservatives are hoping can overcome Trump with his clever delegate game and more serious mien is getting 10 to 15 percent of the vote in major states.
It isnt only that the not-Trump vote is failing to coalesce around Cruz hes going backward.
And people are kidding themselves if they think Tuesday nights results wont have an effect on voters in Indiana and elsewhere.

Ted “Let’s vote for SECRET ObamaTRADE and
Pretend we did not” Cruz is a phoney and
backstabber who go backstabbed by Romney.
Live with rats. Die by rats.
It is a must watch. Especially for active military and veterans. You will burst with hope and pride!
It’s like a cult, really
Some guys have the ability to mesmerize
Cruz must be able to do this in small groups and settings where he is not otherwise well known
Just not for large crowds
And once people get to really know him, they don’t like him
With his victories against unions and for right to work, Walker would fit well as Sec of Labor.
Cruz is basically a thing of the past now. Why not drop the postings about him
and move on to promoting Trump full time. Just a suggestion for consideration. Take care.
Smoke and mirrors only go so far . . .
Has he dropped out? I must have missed that announcement.
I think the White Knight scenario is fading along with # nevertrump
Donald had to win big to overcome this, and he did
Time for the GOP to embrace him and learn to groom him a bit on the party platform to make some compromises and give him the benefit of wise counsel on political, foreign and military affairs, such as it exists
Trump is a master at deal making not a fixed “my way or the highway ‘ doctrinaire
Has he dropped out? I must have missed that announcement.

Not that I’m aware of. But he’s beyond winning on the first ballot. So if Trump
can secure the first ballot numbers to win Cruz is history. Beyond the first ballot
it is a game that will be played at the convention by the delegates. Who knows
how that will come out.
Why not drop out of the race and clear the way for the (by now) demonstrably inevitable candidate, since he is "a thing of the past now"...? First things first.
Umm, maybe not
Trump is going to build the wall and other stuff and he is going to use union labor to get the democrats to support it
The unions have a history of working with trump
I just think he won’t accept a shut out of nonunion interests
The boys are going to have to all play in Trumps sandbox together and share their toys
That’s what a BOSS can demand
Excellent speech. You would have liked it. There is no doubt, Trump must be President.
I don’t think Cruz will even drop out once Trump reaches 1237. The delusion is strong with this one.
It gives him more than a little something in common with his most... ummmmmm... ardent supporters. ;)
Ted’s plan: steal the nomination by hook or by crook; piss off the legions of Trump supporters as well as all independents and democratic crossover voters; have Clinton bring a suit for non-NBC (Natural Born Citizen); have the suit ratified by an Obama judge; slink off in disgrace, leaving the poor benighted citizens in thrall to the Hidabeast.
