Cannot afford to be without, though. Stay safe all in harms’ way. I. Hate. This. Kind. Of. Weather.
I was near the one in Hoback Junction in Wyo. in 2016 or so. The BIL and I skidded down a mountain after getting pelted with hail. We were soaking wet. Next year after the area we had hunted was so dang dry, lightning had started a fire and burned it up good.
Fifty years ago we'd buy a case of beer and chase tornadoes before it became fashionable. In 1974 we chased one that set down on the runway at Sheppard all the way to Waurika. It made a mess out of Charlie. We didn't have drugs or I phones so we made our own kind of fun.
I thought I saw a lot of tornadoes in North Texas until I moved to NE Mississippi. One alley to the next. At least in Texas one can see them coming from far away.
Amazing, isn’t it? One of the most important things a new boater, camper or hiker must learn is to be aware of the weather conditions and forecasts. It’s a matter of life and death.
I pray that the tornadoes come no where near your house and that you and your family are safe.
bump!
Tornado on the ground, 25 miles southeast of Woodward.
bump!
Woodward is in Oklahoma?
I was in the Oldsmobile right behind ya
Sign of hail for sure. Mammary clouds are more tornado-ish.
Yes it is. You must not be from around here.
No :-)
I am in earthquake country. Don’t think I could handle tornado country.
I’d keep my eye on that storm just SW of you. It fits the radar model for spawning a tornado.
LOL. Nice one!
I thought that PDS stood for “Pretty Damned Sure”.
Well Crom, I have no boat
